chibul
Hello, We had Gold passes for 2014, but did not renew them this year, as we got married last month and had a honeymoon and thus knew we wouldn't be able to get out to KI nearly as much. Next June we are planning a trip that will take us to KI, Michigan's Adventure AND Cedar Point and thus are obviously interested in getting the Platinum passes. Here are my questions... --For 2015, were the Platinum passes available as part of the monthly payment plan that began in October? That's how we had our Gold passes in 2014, and I'm curious to know if that plan is offered for Platinum as well. If so, does anyone know what the monthly payments were? --Otherwise, what are the Platinum pass prices generally at, if you buy in the fall (I know that's the best deal, to get them around then). Thanks in advance for your help!
malem
^ Payment plans were available for both 2015 gold and platinum passes in the fall of 2014. This is the cheapest time to purchase passes. Prices last fall were (give or take a few cents) $90 for gold passes, $180 for platinum renewals, and $186 for new platinum passes. Online payment plans were offered in six installments. All online orders are plus a processing fee, currently $6-10 based on the number of tickets in your order. If past trends continue, 2016 prices will be announced (& passes will go on sale) sometime around Labor Day weekend.

chibul
I know when we purchased our 2014 passes, we paid in either 8-9 installments. I assume they shortened it to 6 for 2015?
jcgoble3
The number of payments varied depending on precisely when you bought your pass. During the fall sale last year, it was nine payments of $20 each for Platinum (which I know because I used that payment plan). Later in the winter, in addition to the final price going up, it was shortened first to six payments, then to four; right now it's three payments for 2015 regular passes and four for 2015 Platinum. Presumably this is because they don't want people skipping out on the remaining payments after the season is over.
electricsun
I will second jcgoble3. My sister renewed their Gold passes on the last operating day and had 9 payments. A few other things to note, any processing fee will be applied to the first payment and that is made the day you renew your passes. My sister's processing fee was $6.99 for 4 passes but that is subject to change. All following payments will be on that date each month. For example, purchase on 11/2, payments will automatically be deducted on 12/2, 1/2, 2/2, etc. If your credit card number changes and you forget to update the account you will get an email about that so you can correct it. If you don't, you will receive another email asking you to update your card and and if not, your card will be "frozen" and can't be used until the account is made current. Hope this helps!
chibul
That was a great help. Thanks so much! As a side question - are the souvenir cups for one park valid for all the CF parks, in terms of the $0.99 refills?
The Interpreter
That one is pretty much answered here: http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php/topic/31145-souvenir-cup-and-platinum-pass-question/
