^Typical news mentality.  Something bad happens at a park, you have to bring up the other bad things that have happened before even though there's no reason to.

Or it's a possible pattern? No different than saying an accident on 75s and this stretch of highway has seen x number of accidents over a period of time.

I think the transition between the old info and new is subpar, but it is part of the park. Are the two related? No. But is it a trend of the area? Possible, but not probable?

^ If the bullet came from inside the park, I can understand bringing up the May incident.

But to mention it, and as the very last bit if information in the article, gives the impression one had to do with the other.

If a reader only reads the title of the article, and the last paragraph, it gives the impression the shooting too place in the park.

Perhaps I am looking into it too much. It just bugs me the media can twist the facts into making any entity look bad.

I agree with how it was put in. It comes off as lazy and copy and paste. But I think it's important to the narrative ...

But you could very well include this in the "can't make this up" thread because it's just bizarre
