IndyGuy4KI
On Sunday, November 20th was the KIC meetup that Malem organized. Those of us in attendance were: IndyGuy4KI, electricsun, Malem, jcgoble3, MDMC01, KingDing Dong and his 2 sons. We meet in the lobby at 11AM and got our Adventure tickets for the 11:30 time. We proceeded to Adventure after Goble and MDMC01 put their coasts in a locker. We proceeded into the Adventure exhibit to a show on what your goal is inside. You must listen very carefully to know how to navigate through the exhibit. Malem is doing a good job of hiding behind the post. Electricsun and I after we got into the exhibit. Sorry so blurry! King Ding Dong, his kids, Malem, and MDMC01 looking for clues. Listening closely for more clues on their adventure. MDMC01 was beside himself with Adventure and the awesome themeing in this exhibit. Then MDMC01 found the slide. They opened up the what I called lift hill room where you stand at an angle to stand up, very cool but disorienting at the same time. The picture does not do electricsun justice at the angle she is standing in that room. I don't recommend walking backwards to get a picture. I almost went to the ground. King Ding Dong and his children looking for more clues! electricsun on the slide. Yes, I rode the slide as well. It took right around an hour to do everything that we wanted in Adventure. There was more to do if you want to get more detailed in your quest. We the proceed into the rest of the museum to explorer. They had an awesome train exhibit in a few rooms. here are some pics I took of that. You will as interested in the background buildings as the trains. We then proceeded to another section of the museum where were were testing each others reflexes. You have 30 seconds to get as many lights as possible. a fun game and you can see how much your heart rate went up during play. Here is Goble and MDMC01 playing. Goble riding an old bike in the Progress Exhibit. That is a do not miss exhibit for me. Malem and MDMC01 are trying out the pulley systems. electricsun at the Oceans exhibit. Of course one of the favorites of the day was several of us riding the high wire unicycle two stories in the air. MDMC01 takes the first ride. Goble getting strapped in. Goble does not look to sure here. Malem tried it out! We then hit a few more exhibits before the museum closed at 5pm for the day. We then proceeded (along with half the people leaving) to eat dinner at Spaghetti Warehouse across from the museum where we had an awesome dinner. If you thought about checking out Adventure please do it. The exhibit is awesome, well themed and a lot of fun. you have until the end of the year. The rest of the museum is awesome as well. This was a great meetup, thanks for all that attended and made it a great time!
MDMC01
Good stuff; IndyGuy! I had a blast Sunday and Adventure and Oceans were probably my favorite exhibits, though the others were cool as well!
King Ding Dong
It just hit me that COSI would be a great place to install one of the Zipflyers Magenta Lizard is dreaming about over in this thread. http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php/topic/16173-kings-island-dreams/?p=755829
jcgoble3
I never realized until now how different I look when I'm clean-shaven and have had a recent haircut, compared to a few weeks' facial hair and a few months' head hair growth. Great report! (Also, a note for anyone else considering a COSI trip after reading this: the train exhibit was a traveling exhibit that was only there for one weekend. It is now gone.)
