Why do B&Ms click at the bottom of the hill

So I was at Cedar Point over the weekend and i noticed on Valravn that, like Diamondback, it made loud clicking just as it reached the bottom of the hill.

I think it could be the stress cables that shake and make that sound but I don't know for sure

I've always noticed this too. It gives them a very distinct sound from other coasters. Sounds dope though, especially on Diamondback, but I'm not sure why they do this.

Is it the same click that Banshee and Diamondback make when entering/exiting the station, or is it something different? I can't say I've ever noticed it if it's not that.

It might be the same noise only faster. I've looked at DB a lot and don't see anything at the bottom of the lift hill that looks like it should make that noise. 

I LOVE the rhythmic clicks as DB leaves the station.

I'm guessing its mostly newer B&Ms since I didn't hear those clicks on Raptor or Rougarou.

I saw that too. But both those rides have much louder roars then other B&M's along with other older B&M's like After Burner and Dominator

^They don't roar nor click when entering the lift though.   The question of the OP was for the base of the lift.

Diamondback does click at the bottom of the lift though. As each train leaves the station, there is a very loud and distinct click. It's actually very cool to hear after you've ridden it a bunch of times. I'm not sure if it's also the antirollback devices as they pass over something in the track or what.

I like to clap my hand in time with the clicks as we exit the station. 

Maybe we will get lucky and a staff member will ask a maintenance person about this.

If the OP means as the ride is exiting the station its the sensors that “connect” to the train that are in the station. I remember Holiday World saying that while Thunderbird was taking some of its first steps. Now if the OP means at the bottom of the drop I think its the ARB’s just settling like goettablitz said. But thats just my thinking

I know why I like the sound of Diamondback exiting the station so much. It sounds like clothes in a dryer with a button clanking rhythmically on the drum. I have a load going now and it sounds just like it. Neat huh?
