PKI Punk
I think that if PKI get an excellent steel coaster, it would be an excellent investment

coasterrz
As far as the best investment for the park, it would depend on how much they want to spend on the ride and how much of a return they want to see a the gate. Obviously, us enthusiasts want to see a new, large steel coaster. That might actually be a good investment for the park since the last steel coaster was added in 2001 (Runaway Reptar), the last adult steel coaster in `99 (Face Off) and the last major steel coaster with more than one train all the way back in 1996 and Flight of Fear. I definantly think a new steel coaster could be a wise investment. But then again PKI has proven that great themed kiddie rides and huge modern flat rides can also be excellent expansions. PKI Punk
I personally think that flats should stay off PKI's "to do" list for awile. Not that there is anything wrong with a good flat, but with back-to- back TR:TR and Delirium, they can hold off for awile. PKI has done pretty well in these categories in the past few years except the coaster category. Edited January 1, 1970 by PKI Punk
DegenRider
But see they had good gate increases with flat rides. People are sick of coasters and market research shows. 2005 would be good for a coaster its a nice length between the last coaster.
Coaster-King
I think a roller coaster because our last new roller coaster was Son of Beast and it is time for a new coaster. If it is something new like a flying or hyper coaster it will attract a like more guest then a flat.
PKI Punk
I really think that it has been way to long since the last really good steel, looping coaster (Flight of Fear). I think that it is time for PKI to look into B&M, they have some really great rides. If PKI has the land (and they do as far as I know) they should look into Intamin as well. I know a lot of people who would like to see a coaster. Including kids at my school who are not real enthusiasts.
coasterrz
Actually Coaster-King, PKI`s last new roller coaster was Rugrats Runaway Reptar, although it is geared towards children. Yes, PKI does have quite a bit of land to expand upon. If they are recieving a new coaster in 2005 I would assume the announcement would be made to explain a large clearing of trees that would be present when the park opens like there was with Son of Beast. Also, most likely if they make an anouncement in March, they will probably start construction before the end of the season, which means that it would be a rather large ride. Only time will tell. AZ Kinda Guy
Surprise, surprise 6 for a coaster and 1 for kiddy rides...Beastfreak brings up a good point. When we all become financial advisors, we'll tell ya. Besides, only the park knows whats best for them and we aren't the park....Closing Edited January 1, 1970 by AZ Kinda Guy
