derbeast
I'm gonna go with employees, we're the s**t
AZ Kinda Guy
I went with employees too. Derek is right, we are the sh*t. Without us, there would be nobody to "press the buttons." I use italics because a ride operator encompasses SO MUCH more then just pushing buttons. Without us, there would be nobody to ring up and serve Smurf ice cream. Without us, there would be nobody there to unlock the parking gates in the morning. I could go on, but I'm not. There's the good and the bad employees but either way if it wasn't for us, there would be no PKI. Nice topic Derrek! fryler87
This is very true, however the reason I go to PKI is because of the coasters, so they get my vote. HOWEVER, PKI has dished out some kick-arse flats since the very late 90s, and I think they have really brought a lot of new people to the park. The employees are great, too. Without you guys, the park wouldn't exist!
stephenmayes
I'm going with the atmosphere. The Employees are awesome, In all of my expierences anyway. The Rides are incredible! But the thing that has kept me a PKI lover over the years is the Atmosphere that you get when walking in to PKI. It was what I was always anxious about when i would come to the park. TraderJake
I went with employees, without us, a whole lot of nothing would get done at the park, and the guests wouldn't have anyone from the park to complain to.
crosscountry4891
I would have to say the coasters becuase they're the reason I go to the park. The flat rides are awesome but the coasters are the main reason I go to the park.
stewwill
To me, it's the feeling when you finally walk through the gates and feel the absolute electricty in the air. The anticipation of big kids headed for the rollercoasters and the little kids, maybe for the first time, riding a ride. It's knowing that for as many hours as you are there, nothing else matters. Just fun. It's sensory overload on a mamoth scale. Stewwill
Beastfreak
True.... we employees do ROCK!!! However I went with atmosphere, just because I loved the park long before I was ever employed there. I will probably love the park long after I finish my term... if that ever happens?
StXBomber
*has a feeling all of the employees on this site will vote employees*
drewbari
I think a little bit of every thing makes Kings Island great.
BoddaH1994
I said atmosphere... employees are about 90% of that, though.
What^
I didn't vote for any of the choices because my choice wasn't listed. It has to be the guests because without them, there would be no KI. 2nd from that would be the coasters because they're awesome.
Maestro
I also went with atmosphere - to me, there's nothing like sitting on International Street at night watching the fireworks feeling the cool mist of the fountains.
Browntggrr
The main reason I go is for the coasters. While there are many reasons to go, that is the main one. As far as the employees, I have unfortunatly run into some that have no customer service skills whatsoever (I'm sure none are on this board ). bignathan4403
I like the coasters as well as the employees. ....coasters better....
shadow2k3
I had to put employees first on my list. Mostly because we all kick some @$$, and the park wouldn't have the atmosphere it does without us. Coasters are second on my list. You cannot deny the greatness of our coaster lineup. ~S~
dropzone265
It was had to say but I say atsomphere always makes for a great day. On the other end location is great because not many people go to Kings Island for vaction and make for low lines IMO. Adios
coasterrz
I think that quite a lot of people go to Kings Island on vacation. A lot of it has to do with location. PKI is located right next to I-71, a major interstate in Ohio. That makes PKI a perfect stopping destination for familes, not to mention the other things to do in Cincinnati in the summer, the Zoo, Newport Aquarium, the Cincinnati Museum Center, The Beach waterpark, The Reds, Coney Island Amusement park, among others. While not the tourist destination of some of the California and Florida parks, PKI attracts its fair share of non-local visitors. In my opinion the employees are a big factor to making PKI so great. A lot of them will go out of their way to ensure that guests have an excellent day they will remember forever. However, people won`t go to PKI just because of the employees. Instead, they go for the rides, the coasters, and all the kid freindly attractions in the best children`s area three years in a row! I can`t put my finger on what makes PKI so special to me. Maybe its the fact that I grew up going there at least once a year, ever since I was 7 months old. Or, maybe it has to do with the overall atmosphere created by all the rides, employees, sights and sound that make it so special.
Spongebob3-Dfreak
I am going with the employees. I believe that without the employees, Kings Island would not be the park that it is today. The employees make the atmosphere so much better because they are really nice to everyone that they meet, especially if they aren't not from around the area. Employees are the most awesome part of the park!
jlopez
Atmosphere....I love it when your in the parking lot and you can see some off the rides and hears screaming and the roar of rollercoasrers and it gets you really excited...Then when you walk through the gates, you hear the music and hear the sound of the fountains....its so great. carpetarson
Im gonna have to say Atmosphere. It all starts when start to see those brown Kings Island signs on I-71. It keeps building as you start to see Drop Zone and the Elifle Tower. The you get in the parking lot you see the tops of the coasters. When you get into the park before the rides actually start loading the anticipation is sitll rising as they remove the ropes the it all peeks as you get that first ride of the day in. No other feeling like it in the world GOD I CAN"T WAIT TILL OPENING DAY
darkstar_skater_00
The only reason i got Kings Island is because its the only fun thing to do in cincinnati and if i lived closer to Cedar Point i would definitely go there because they have way better roller coasters. coasterrz
darkstar_skater_00, try checking your posts before posting. Your post was a massive run on sentence with bad grammer! Not to mention that your other two recent posts were scattered with errors/typos as well. However, it is nice to see new people around here posting! 0-120
Yeah, I have to agree with "darkstar skater", Cedar Point has the best coasters & in a way it spoiled PKI for me. Now all the coasters except for The Beast don't seem all that great. Face/Off's pretty good too. I haven't been back there since riding TTD so I wonder how they will seem now! Anywho.... I went with flats, even though I wish they would make coasters instead, their flats are better than most of their coasters. I mean, Drop Zone, Delirium, Tomb Raider, THE SWINGS!!! PKI's flats are great.
