Scooby_Doo Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 Top Gun getting Hollywoodized I wonder what that will be like! man I hope that they dont Hollywoodize The Beast! Quote
UncleHenry Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 Top Gun getting Hollywoodized I wonder what that will be like! man I hope that they dont Hollywoodize The Beast! They did that to The Beast last season, remember? The new signs, the sound effects, the video. Quote
Scooby_Doo Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 ^ I know I ment like a robo beast poppin out at you etc Quote
Vortex Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 Top Gun might be getting a paint job that it needed. Also they might be repairing some parts of effects and things in that long line for the coaster. As for the lower que the last two years I saw empolyes taking parts off and taking them home on the last day. Quote
flightoffear1996 Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 ^ If they did that they would ruin the ride. Quote
PKIFan4Life Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 I hope they re-open the queue. However, I believe that would be an added position to the ride costing the park more money. We shall soon see. I can't see Top Gun getting a paintjob, it's still pretty fresh from 2000 from what I can remember. Also, did anyone catch that they said FOUR new food locations and listed 3. Happy Days, Chic-Fil-A, Graeters, and _____ I dunno. Quote
Reclaimer Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 Jeff said they're working on getting Starbucks in the park. The deal may be going through Quote
KIBeast Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 "As for the lower que the last two years I saw empolyes taking parts off and taking them home on the last day." They will probably sell that stuff on ebay. Quote
pkifreak Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 I hope they do something about the line, I would love for them to re-open the inner que, I loved looking at all that stuff in there. Quote
moore Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 I signed up for the newsletter but haven't gotten that yet....can you tell me where I can go to re-sign up. If they do give Top Gun a paint job, then they won't be replacing it with the inverted version anytime soon. Does anyone know what they would do to Face/Off? I hope a new paint job b/c I hate the red/yellow scheme. Quote
hauntguy Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 I can see it now: Pilot training vids, "Pilots" in the que, the effects working (beacon lights, fog, maybe some strobes), and a real "ship announcer" like "Fighters Alpha, Delta, and O'Riley now entering the DANGER ZONE!!!" That would be cool! -Hauntguy Quote
thejoker8388 Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 Does anyone know what they would do to Face/Off? I hope a new paint job b/c I hate the red/yellow scheme. Yep it got a paint job, but its still the same colors. Personally I like the colors. Quote
PKI_Diana Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 (edited)  Also, did anyone catch that they said FOUR new food locations and listed 3. Happy Days, Chic-Fil-A, Graeters, and _____ I dunno. The fourth is going to be something new where Madarin Cuisine was Jeff said, I believe. Edited March 30, 2005 by PKI_Diana Quote
CoastersNSich Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 I heard it was going to be Mexican going into the Chinese place. I actually like Mexican better... Quote
Dan Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 It will be a Chipotle-style restaurant. We are still currently working on what will be on the menu though. Quote
PKIWorker19 Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 Not sure if this has been answered already or not, but the Starbucks deal went through and we are in the process of constuction on Bakery. Right now, its just kinda a hole in the wall. The other new thing is Pablo Charlie's. That is the new Mexican place which is taking over Mandarin. That will most likely not open for a few weeks, same with starbucks. Can't be for sure though. Oh, and Chick-fil-A will HOPEFULLY be opening April 16th or somewhere around there. HOPEFULLY. Quote
RingMaster Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 oh no! the chinese are being overrun by the mexicans! run for the hills! ^RingMaster has definitely gone off the deep end <-- too true Seriously, though, why dont u just name it dan pablos? name sounds better. i would love to have chick-fil-a in the park. now i wont have to drive all the way out to west chester just to get some chicken sandwiches. ^still 1 2 many acorns trapped in his noggin, im afraid Quote
ZosoBeast Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 Now the real question is, will PKI's chick-fil-a be open on Sundays? Quote
