flightoffear1996 Posted September 18, 2005 Author Posted September 18, 2005 I think speed and height do help and appeal to alot of people. After awhile when somethign taller and faster is released it will just be a junk ride. If you want the coaster to last you need great airtime and some wicked turns.
The-Snapper Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 Ok everyone there are wild rumors right now that Six Flags Great Adventure is going to break Son of Beast height record with a 248 foot tall wooden roller coaster made my Intmain. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA This is so funny! can u say SFGADV???? in 06' I WILL BE THERE!!!!
Delirium_Guy Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 There is a simple solution to SOB roughness. SIT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CAR, NOT OVER A WHEEL. Ok, *we* all know that! To the average park guest, they just want to ride! Its been said before, NO ONE should have to sit in a SPECIFIC seat just to get a semi-enjoyable ride. You can praise the ride all you want and talk about how much you love it, you are certainly entitled to your opinion. I wish I enjoyed the ride like that, however when I think of SOB...all I can do is picture what a nice fire it would make Honestly, the Park has done the best job possible to keep it in a rideable condition, I give them props.
KIBeast Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 I guess you all know by now that SFGadv is not taking the record for speed or height.
G-Force Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Well, being about 3 years later, I doubt it. The Termninator, however is a new wooden rollercoaster at one of the six flags parks. BTW: Epic Bump!
The Interpreter Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 That would be at Six Flags Magic Mountain: http://www.rcdb.com/id4173.htm And Six Flags new coaster installations won't be breaking any height, speed or cost records in the near future. The stock itself has been pretty much on a dive coaster, though. Beware the splashdown, which may be near.

The Interpreter Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Monroe, I think he was talking about the lift hill of Six Flags stock, before the recent sustained dive...
coaster_junky Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Monroe, I think he was talking about the lift hill of Six Flags stock, before the recent sustained dive... no, i was really talking about the picture that they have from the animation on sfmm's web-site.
The Interpreter Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Ah, I stand corrected! Terpy, who thought you were being very witty (and who will actually miss Psyclone!)
coaster_junky Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Ah, I stand corrected! Terpy, who thought you were being very witty (and who will actually miss Psyclone!) no, i couldn't have came up with something that witty if my life had depended on it unless of course it was just an accident as just happened.
Beast1979 Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 So this rumor was half right. El Toro was made by Intamin and it IS huge, but nothing can top Sonny in Hight, Speed, and (Roughness)!
