CoastersRZ
While I like the new site. There are still some problems with it. For starters, they still haven`t updated all of the information on it, such as the height restrictions. Also, they have the 2004 park map on the site, but if you download it, you get a 2003 park map. Additionally, some of the pictures on the featured rides pages are pixelated or stretched out of proportion. Hopefully, they will be updating and fixing these and some other minor problems with the site soon. Other than that, it looks excellent and is a big improvement over the old website! RiSK
One thing I did notice (and it looks rather corny, if I must say so myself) is the strange thumbs... Why is 1/4 of it the picture, and the other 3/4's of it blue?! Makes no sense to me! And yes, those pixelated images are gross! However, it must be this way.. why? Well, when building a site, you may have problems with images, and the template of the page, if you were to leave the images to the original size. For example.. heres the code to each page.. <img src="/i/image.jpg" width="260" height="208" alt="" /> That defines the width and height of each image.. and its universal. So, when the image is put in, it is resized to 240 x 208.. its unfortunate they used the old pictures.... but... i'm sure it will be fixed in the near future. If you don't define the size of the image, but you define the size of the cell block, the image will be truncated to that size. That's how I make the thumbnail images for the BB updates on here. Mr. Christopher
There are still kinks to take out. No worries.
Grunts Rock
I was wondering when PKI was going to follow PKD and PC's footsteps with the websites. Looks much better. The Paramount websites were overdue for a redesign.
KIBeast
Looks fantastic. I'm at work and have a broadband connection. Wonder if it loads slowly for anyone with regular dial-up?
Grunts Rock
I just looked through the media center archives on PKI.com and you guys suck! You have a ton or pictures while PKD has barely put anything up. I think I'll have to talk to Mark Riddell about that And I'm sure that the site loads a little slow on dial up. Heck, sometimes it loads a little slow here at work and we have cable.
