I'm going pretty far out on a limb here, because I know it hardly ever happens, but WHAT IF Paramount decided to add a little "hype" to their newest attraction? Now, I know that "hype" is a little rare in advertising, so it is kind of hard to believe Paramount would do this, but it is a possibility.

I don't know if you've checked out CP's website to see their new advertising campaign. Everything they've got is the "Best ______ on the planet!"

Now, as we all know, CP is a pretty good park...but to say they have the "Best Dancing Beagle" and "Best Spin Cycle" is taking a stretch, but most people don't seem to mind, including myself. Why? Because, IT'S ADVERTISING!

Would you rather go to a restaurant that you just heard advertised as "The most mediocre steaks in the midwest!!!" or one that advertises with the phrase "The biggest, baddest, most delicious steaks in the midwest!"

Oh, trust me. It's not a coaster that I will ride every time I go there. I'm filing it under Adventure Express where I will ride it if there's nothing else to do. No one has forgotten it's a family coaster, so quit repeating yourself.

Can you show me where it ever claims to be the most thrilling or exciting coaster? That's because it doesn't say it. It says it's the most exciting, thrilling mini cooper stunt ride and as far as I'm aware it is the most exciting mini cooper stunt ride, so it was and is very correct and honest about what it is.

Also, with people repeating themselves, how many times have you said "Oh IJ:ST sucks, it's so boring, I hate it, I'll never ride it, IJ:ST is not intense at all, and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah." Seriously how many times can your complaints of IJ:ST be found on this board 10, 100, 1000 times? We get it you don't like IJ:ST, we don't care, and in your own words, "quit repeating yourself."

And plus i walked right onto TR:TR which in my opinion is a much better ride.

Anyway, today I got on IJST for my first time. Waited like 45 Minutes. I got in the back (white) train. The Boost was cool, Love the slowly speeding up! The Helix was intence! I blacked out at the top for a second. The drop and zig-zag was okay, didn't add anything more to the thrill. The banked curve was cool. The subway effect (not working), and frankly don't see a reason to have it working. You go through the subway area so fast that the rumbleing would not even have to be there. The Chopper did not work but the fire was SwEeT! I could feel the heat on my face. The Tunnel was dark and couldnt see much so cant rate that. Drop in to the water was well, the G's go up fast. Water hit me in the face and got slightly wet.

If you have not been on the ride yet get your butt on it! All in all it is a great ride. A short ride but a good.

I personally feel that the IJ is at its best at night....the lines are short, and the effects seem to be more effective given that they are more visible at night. I agree that it is not the most thrilling ride in the park, but when all of the the effects are working properly and the wait is between 15-20 min, you have a pretty effective ride. And as of lately I have been very pleased with the all of the effects working properly. Though I would like to see more fog as you enter the tunnel...at times there is no where near as much fog as was once present during the technical rehersals. And secondly, I have pretty much given up hope on experiencing the simulated stair effect...I actually had the privledge to ride IJ with a couple of guys who were in charge of the audio for the ride and I later found out that this effect will probably never work right. According to them, they felt that it was a poorly designed ride given that in order for the effect to work properly the audio would have to be boosted to an almost intolerable level for anyone to feel the effect. So yes that is a bit disappointing. But on the bright side we are almost halfway through the summer which brings us even closer to the announcement of next years new ride..so enjoy IJ for what it is and cross your fingers so that maybe our wish will be granted for next year.

IJ is also brand new and if they were to keep up with AE and actually fix all the special effects, I think more people would like AE better. AE already puts a lot more people on the ride then IJ does. Yes, IJ has less cars on their trains but still AE is one of the most ridden rides in the park.

It was awsome!!!!!!!!! I didn't expect it to be that fast. It took me by surprize. I suggest not putting your arms up on that ride... It flew my arms sideways because of the twist and turns. It was a blast!!

IJST sucks. paramount probably thinks it is better themed than disney's new expedition everest,lol. The only reason that pki gets good attendance is because of all the locals taking their kids to the water park. I feel that SFKK has a better collection of coasters. Great america also has a better coaster lineup. Of pki had a better coaster lineup then the amusement park side would be packed as well as the water park side! That would mean more money.

Agreed, if you start a topic about IJST experiences and only want to hear good experiences then name the topic "Good experiences on IJ". This is PKI Centrals 3rd Reich And YoungStud, you obviously dont know crap, PKI isnt rated highest in attendance because of the water park and the locals, the water park isnt even open year round, so many people come here because of its good reputation and variety in rides.
