Very Very Very Stupid question

I keep on wondering this. First of all I know for sure the launching is 54mph because I checked on www.rcdb.com. I only know the inversion names and they are boomerang (also known as cobra roll) sidewender and corkscrew. But what are those other turns in the bowl called?

A boomerang and cobra roll are two different inversions. A boomerang is the last inversion on The Vortex before the finish. A cobra roll is found on most B&M's and Raptor at CP has one. Totally different. Hope this helps.

yea.. um.. no a i believe that Vortex has at the end is called a batwing or something liek that..cobra rolls and boomerangs are very similar.. only diff the manufacturer of the ride.. B&M calls theirs cobra rolls where vekoma calls theirs a boomerang (like on face/off) same element though... but yea since Vortex is like a flip of what a boomerang is it's called something different (batwing.. or a reverse boomerang)

A Batwing and a Boomerang are the same according to RCDB.

Depends on the designer. Alot of them call the same style elements diffrent things.

I assure you that Vortex's last inversion is called a boomerang.

A boomerang goes in to a half corkscrew, then half loop, then another half loop, then a final corkscrew.

A cobra roll goes in to a half loop, half corkscrew, half corkscrew, then a final half loop. They are not the same thing.

Yes, Face Off, and the first two inversions on Flight of Fear are cobra rolls. The last two inversions on Vortex are refered to as a boomerang (although B&M refers to this element as a Batwing, like on Top Gun at Paramount`s Carowinds and the element that dips below the midway in a tunnel) Top Gun: The Jet Coaster Batwing, also known as a boomerang. The batwing is on the far right side, and is similar to The Vortex`s boomerang, except that the track is inverted. The picture is not really a good angle of the element.

You are correct i looked it up on rcdb it is called a batwing a boomerang i swhat Arrow calls a Cobra Roll.

^You mean B&M uses the term cobra roll for the same thing Arrow calls a boomerang. Not being picky, just Arrow existed long before B&M. I still don't think that they are the same inversion as they do not do the same thing, as I pointed out in my earlier post.
