August 24, 200520 yr Looks like it as went international, one is opening up at Universal Orlando City Walk. I wonder if Paramount gave them the right to do this. They also don't show us as a location, so we must be an independent one. -Jake http://www.bubbagump.com/
August 24, 200520 yr Personally, I've never liked the Bubba Gumps at PKI. Don't get me wrong, the food is fine. I just don't find eating fish and shrimp an appetizing choice on a hot sumer day when I'm riding roller coasters :-)
August 24, 200520 yr The Bubba Gumps chain of restaurants has been around for quite some time now. I remember eating at the one on Maui way before the one at PKI opened. I, personally, like our Bubba Gumps here at PKI, both it's theming and food.
August 24, 200520 yr Bubba Gump's is its own independent restaurant company, that Viacom either owns a share of, or licensed the rights to Bubba Gump, LLC. I went to a Bubba Gumps for the first time about five years ago...the concept is very different than the quick service version at PKI. The restaurants remind me of a cross between Joe's Crab Shack and House of Blues (minus the performance space). And, since when is Orlando considered an "international" location? Joel
August 24, 200520 yr Author ^This line of restraunts are opeing up in Japan, that makes them international. -Jake
August 24, 200520 yr ^This line of restraunts are opeing up in Japan, that makes them international. -Jake Ahhh...that makes more sense now. The first sentence just confused me.
August 24, 200520 yr It smells really good and I want to eat there some time even though I'm not really big on Sea Food. Whenever I go out to eat at PKI I go to Skyline, The Festus (or however you spell it).
August 26, 200520 yr PKI's Bubba Gumps also offers Montgomery inn ribs, Chicken tenders, corndogs, House and Caesar Salads, and Grilled Chicken Sandwiches. Lt. Dan's Bar on the back side of the building offers several appetizers including Mega Nachos, All American Cheese Fries, and Chicken wings; Hot, plain, or BBQ in addition to a vast array of delecious adult beverages.
September 6, 200520 yr Been to B/G on Maui before the one at PKD.. Went to Ohau, and stumped the mgr.. they did not not know , at that time, that PKD had a B/G, got a free drink. The atmosphere at the full restaraunt is completely different than at the cafeteria style amusement park versions.. Ex; if you order sea food sampler, they come out and put a newspaper on the table, then throw your sampler platter on it, quite amusing! This doesn't happen at the parks.. We hope that B/G stays at PKI, but we won't be back until they put a campground back in.. Rick
