KIBeast
Much to other's surprise, I am not going to bash IJ:ST. It's not the type of coaster I like, but it seems that it is highly popular amongst families. Not real fast, but not Antique Cars slow either. There are some nifty special effects, the launch up the spiral is pretty good, and the second launch into the tunnel is cool and there are some surprises in the tunnel. It does sound like you have some catching up to do. So, it seems that there will be a lot of new things for you to try out.

Ya know I dont get why a ride themed to IJ is for families I mean the movie wasnt really for families at all ...but the ride is...I dont get it.. Stewart32
Yes, I think in order to catch up, I will have to break away from the family unit for a few hours. Hmm, maybe if they go to BB.... So many rides, so little time!

Alien Seed
Ya know I dont get why a ride themed to IJ is for families I mean the movie wasnt really for families at all ...but the ride is...I dont get it.. Movies that rides are based on are seldom for families. It's all about how much action and how many effects were in it that people would like to experience first hand. Tomb Raider wasn't a family movie either, and look at USF's list. Back to the Future, Shrek, and to an extent MIB were family films, but what about Jaws, Mummy, Terminator, Twister, and Jurassic Park. They weren't family films (parents only took their kids to JP to see the dinosaurs).
Stewart32
When are you going cause BB will be closed soon i think. Yeah, according to PKI's site, BB will be open over the holiday weekend. We plan to go Sunday. Can anybody provide an attendance forecast? Think it will be busy?
BoddaH1994
We plan to go Sunday. Can anybody provide an attendance forecast? Think it will be busy? That's hard to say... I give you a solid "maybe", but I don't think it will be so bad that if you spend a day there you wouldn't be able to do everything you want. bdboy007
It was extremely busy the past 2 sundays
flightoffear1996
Ok wasn't sure when Boomerrang Bay closed I knew it was soon though. Sundays arent usually too bad probaly my guess would be about 1 hours wait for all the major rides but since it is a holiday weekend I would guess there would be even longer waits. So expect 1 hour 20 minute wait or so on most stuff like Face/Off, Dropzone, FOF, IJST. This is only a guess and depends on what the weather would be doing at that point in time

Stewart32
You could have said F/O or something Yeah, I see your point. Along similar lines... When I was in high school (Eastside High School), there was always somebody pushing the rule book limits. One day this guy wore a T shirt with the following letters: "Phuck Eastside" True story
Stewart32
Well... Made the Labor Day Trip to PKI. Arrived @ 10:30, gone at 6:00. It was hot and crowded, but fun nevertheless. I had opportunity to ride only one "new" (to me) ride which was SoB. By the time I got to SoB I was suffering from a strong sinus headache but decided to brave it any way as I would not have another chance untill season 2006. I chose a seat in the last car, middle row. Impressive height and speed. But very rough, and probably exaperated by the headache. Defintely the most whiplash ride I have ever experienced. I look forward to riding again under better, healthier circumstances. I also rode The Racer, reverse, last car. Still a thriller after 20 years of riding. Didn't have much time to ride additional "big stuff" The rest of the day I spent riding "little stuff" with my 4 year old son and his friend: 2X The Beastie (thier favorite), SDaHC, WWC, Wild Thornberries, viking ship. Looking forward to 2006.
