Legend Rider
that makes me think of when parks dont enforce dress code... you see a fat hairy man walking around a highly populous area, and whoa!! why dont the people at the waterparks enforce the dress code!? why!? I hate that, i want to tell them to be not-naked...

TheKlockster
Or at least out of the waterpark. I was kind of self consious about going to Splashin Safari - but once I got over - I didn't feel that bad. I saw far worse dressed in far less.... At least I'm not hairy and not nearly as fat as some of the other people there!
hauntguy
Guys to clear some things up... My Fearfest preview should be up soon! I just need to get my pics developed! As for the actual attractions: CORNstalkers is the path between Paradise Island stand and that first set of restrooms. This is going to be one insane area! The scarecrows are awesome looking and all the old prop and "scareboxes" look creepy as hell! Headless Hollow is the train... but no need for hiking boots! We got our wish on this one... HH is the "Q-line" for WWC!!!! The train will drop you off at a portion of the ride and you'll walk the Q back! Also, I heard that you'll actually walk down in the ride part itself! No, there are no parts or gadgets to get in your way! WWC is a solid concrete path... it'll be like walking on a sidewalk! I got some pics of the set-up on this one as well... from both the exit ramp and from on the train! Rivertown is not a "decked out" as it seems... there are several "blank" spots where the designs seem to fall short compared to the rest of the area! CORNstalkers is you first and only worry! There where parts of Curse of the Crypt next to PsychoPath... mainly the facade and that part you crawl through! The facade of House of Darkness (Now RL Stine's FearStreet) is changed completely! It now looks like a new, un-tortured home! I think it looked better before the change! It just doesn't look creepy! There are a TON of old PT animations in the Action Theater line... and also an old 'Tique is there, themed as a "car of the dead" for Fearfest! Could this be a hint of something to come? Circus of Horrors is in it's same place... and is it just me, or does Circus of Horrors look bigger? Again, there is NO theming in Action Zone (it's a shame!) The Coney Mall had it's props and decorations up. If one looks hard enough you'll see old CotC props! There was NO props or decoration for Fearfest on International Street! So I hope they get that done quick! I tried to take as many pictures as I could... I will try to get them developed today.. and have them up later! Fearfest is going to be a awesome time this year... see you there! -Hauntguy

CoastersRZ
Chill down. He will get them when he gets them developed. The park still has a couple of days to finish up details, before FearFest premieres next Saturday. I believe dry run day for all the houses is either on Wednesday or Thursday, by invite only. hauntguy
That would be an awesome job! But I think I would do better if I were in-charge of Fearfest! At least (I think) it would be alot better! But I am very happy with the direction PKI is going with Fearfest. They need to try and get to the level and status of Knott's Halloween Haunt and Universal's Halloween Horror Nights!!! hauntguy
I am simply stating what a park employee told me! Also, from the Miami Valley Railroad you can clearly see the empty WWC!!! All I can say is go ride it yourself and see exactly what I am talking about. Or go to Fearfest, do this attraction and come back and apologize! Your ass will be feel so stupid once you see how right I am! -Hauntguy
CoastersRZ
It does look like the WWC queue or exit will be part of HH (Most likely the exit due to ADA issues). However, I doubt that guests will actually enter the trough where the water runs, for the same reason that the exit will most likely be used, and not the queue line. One thing about using that for a haunted attraction, is won`t it be fairly easy to see the guests through the woods when waiting for the train to depart to drop you off at HH?
hauntguy
The queue will be hidden fairly well... This attraction is using a TON of burlap and erosion cloth, also alot of those "crates" as seen in CORNstalkers! I can only imagine what PKI is doing! !!! -Hauntguy

RingMaster
Hauntguy's right-except that the train actually drops people off by the Pumpkin Patch area. They then walk a little ways down and cross the train tracks into Headless Hollow, which is White Water Canyon's exit. The strange thing is, though, for this attraction, they're using reservation tickets similar to IJ:ST in the pre-season. You'll go up to a kiosk (don't know where yet) and grab a ticket with a set time on it. Then, you take it to the train station to hop on. This, actually, is a good idea, because it will keep the lines for the train down a whole lot, mainly because as soon as you get off the train, you're pretty much walking through Headless Hollow as it is. I got to see them work during dress rehearsals along with them testing the fog machines around 5:00; a lot of the actors are in the wooded area behind the wooden fence along the bridge, with only a few on the bridge itself. Still, HH looks to be a great maze for FearFest 2005! One last thing, the WWC queue is well-hidden; the only thing you'll be able to see are the lights that make up the maze. Everything else is hidden behind the trees and the fog enveloping them. If you think walking through Rivertown in the dark now is scary, wait till FearFest actually begins, when the Headless Horseman starts lurking around! -The RingMaster gives his regards... People could still probably walk through the trough. I'm not saying it's going to happen, I'm just saying it's possible. Cedar Point's Warewolf Canyon is a walkthrough haunt through their water rapids trough.
RingMaster
^ They can't walk through the trough, there are wires along it that power the rapids that people can trip over. That's the only real reason as to why they can't let people walk through. -Only four more days until FearFest Dry Run! StXsteven
Quick questions whats up with the dry run? Do you have to be invited? So one haunt is on the train, and as soon as you get off you go into another haunt? I'm not sure I understand. What is pride day? Like gay pride? or pki pride? I don't follow pride days. You speak of wires being in white water canyon, can't they movie them over to one of the sides? All of the haunted houses open at 8? Or do 2 of them open at 6? What is ACE? thanks
CoastersRZ
Yes, dry run day is by invite only. If you didn`t get an invite, you can`t attend. No, the train takes you a little ways, by WWC. Then it stops and lets you off. From there you proceed to the WWC exit line which is the haunt. Pride day as in gay pride. Many people around Cincinnati that I have talked to think that this is actually the Sunday when the park is closed in June. However, that is in fact a company picnic and not pride night, which is this Friday (I think it might be Toyota who rents out the park in June). Don`t count on walking into WWC unless they remove the "devices" that cause the rapids. Yes they can move them, I just don`t see PKI letting guests down into the trough, what with ADA issues and all. I do not know when exactly all the houses open up this year. Things are a little different this time around. For example, I don`t think Maze of Madness or Fear Street will be opening around 3. Also, I have heard that Headless Hollow will not have a line, but reservation tickets similar to what ITJST had when it debuted back in May. Only those who get tickets will be allowed to board the train at the designated time on their ticket. Hopefully this will provide shorter waits for the haunts and allow people to ride more rides. On the flipside, it will make the ride lines longer. ACE stands for American Coaster Enthusiasts. Visit their website here.

hauntguy
PKI should use the ticket system for every haunt! Keep the lines down on everything... it would work! -Hauntguy
CoastersRZ
Work for the haunts yes. But think of what it would do to the ride lines! They are already somewhat busier in October from the shear amount of people that attend FearFest, and that is with all those people standing in the lines! If they do use the ticket system, they will have to increase staffiing at the entrances to the attractions. To keep people out who don`t have a ticket. That was one of the issues with Italian Job during its "technical rhearsal phase."
SML828
FYI...the ticket system is being used for Headless Hollow and FearStreet ONLY...FearStreet will also have a standby line, but HH will be "fastpass" only...
StXsteven
Five more questions(sorry, I just want to get everything clear) What is name of the haunt that is on the train? CornSTALKERS is not a haunt, it is a scare-area like coney maul? Massacre Manor(Sleepy hollow) has not changed at all from last year? Same with maze of madness? How is the train going to work? I understand that you will get a ticket for a certain time, but the train takes like 20 minutes to go all of the way around doesn't it? How will getting off the train and getting to the WWC exit not go through the WWC path? There was one more but I can't remember it right now. Thanks for all of the help, I get lost reading guesses and the truth. Not related: How was the dry run?
