StXsteven
The crawl through thing in Psycho path was the only thing that made me jump, and I jump very easily. But I was pretty dissopointed by fearfest this year, as well as the people in my group. Oh well, next saturday is another day. Does anyone want to say hi or something? Just to meet some faces that I talk to on this board.
RingMaster
They only get 2 days? They hire in August, I thought they trained the whole month of september. I saw most of the actors in maze of madness there last year too, which is why I was dissapointed. They scared the **** out of me last year, and they couldn't even make me move this year. ^The first "rehearsal" doesn't start until the Saturday before FearFest starts. And then it's that last full week in September, minus Friday for Pride Night. Hey, don't forget about next Friday! That'll be the first Friday of FearFest '05! Gordon Bombay
Fearfest only made me jump a few times too, and I wasnt horrified or petrified. But Im that way with all haunted houses cause I know its not real. However, some people are easily frigtened by that stuff and the look I saw on some peoples faces and the reactions they got when being scared was priceless. Fearfest was great. I wanna work as one of those sliding guys with the sparking knee pads.

themegurl
Fortunately, I was able to go through a good amount of haunts at FearFest on Saturday. Here are my comments: RL Stine: I really enjoyed the theming. We were actually in the second group to go through around 730 or so. The actors were excellent and very enthusiastic!! An overall good traditional haunted house. Massacre Manor: Why did I wait in line for this? BORING. The only thing I saw was people dressed up in period costumes saying "the headless horseman is coming!" I was expecting a little more. I did like the heads hanging down from the ceiling, but they also had that effect in two other haunts. Headless Hollow: UNEVENTFUL. It had great potential, but long periods of dead spots....People jumped out at you from behind crates. Thats it. The ending was a big let down with the horseman chillin by the fence. PsychoPath: This was pretty cool. It had one of my favorite effects in it which creeped me out!!!!!!! I didnt like the fact that they let a continuous stream of people in at once, rather than small groups. I did like it overall! Maze of Madness: Two thumbs up! This was probably my fave. I like the whole theme of the mental institution...That always gets me! We had some good scares in our group!! The actors were very into their roles, especially the guy at the front door that lets you in! He was funny! Cornstalkers: The fog made it better...It was OK..Not what I would call scary...Though I liked the costumes! (A big thumbs down for idiots that bring their 4 year old kids with them through haunts though. I saw some terrified little ones that shouldnt have been there Saturday night, let alone up that late) I really did enjoy FearFest! I will be going back next year. They still have the sirens and the heart pumping noises running rampant throughout the maze. ^Still, the best part of the video, for me, is the beginning where the host is torturing Britney near the front and says that she's blonde underneath her dark hair. That was classic. PS: On a lighter note, Britney works on IJ:ST. If you ever see her, and ever ask her if she's still blonde underneath all that dark hair, tell her that Matt Godfrey said it. She'll know what you mean. -The RingMaster
RailRider
FearFest 05 First off the Fog was absolutely amazing! Headless Hollow: Had great potential and I think PKI did an excellent job with it. The fog through the bridges was intense, the themeing was great, and I think the fact that there were not a 1000 actors on it, you never knew where the next scare was coming from. Great concept and Good execution. (Side note, Jeff Siberet gets two thumbs up for handing out reservation passes ahead of schedule to cut the line down, nicely done. R.L. Stine's FearStreet: Has a great story throughout the entire house and actually follows throught with the whole story. Very freaky haunted house especially for the pics of the girl all over. Very cool house and unlike most houses around because it tells a story and is not just one unreleated scene after anohter. Nicely done. Circus of Horrors: is as good as always and the dot room was exceptional. Psycho Path: The biggest let down of the night. Absolutely pathetic with the continous line of people going through. Way to ruin a great haunt. Are we lost in the woods, nope just follow the massive line of people. Complete !!! Overall the fog was overly thick and the sliders and other charcters roaming the midways were great. Nicely done PKI. Nicely done and keep the fog coming. Cant wait to go back next week. BoddaH1994
I think the Psycho Path was pretty good. Of course, I didn't go through with a continuous line, but I was fond of the fact that you did have to travel through a fair amount of woods before hitting the next "scene". I thought it did a good job of the whole "lost in the woods" feeling. Yes, the fog is PERFECT this year. Anyone else notice that the smell resonates on your clothing? It smells like soap. RailRider
The video of the path during the day was better than the actual experience during the night. The continous line ruins the entire thing because the line doesnt not continously move. Experience it with the continous line and the scense are ruined along with the pace of the entire haunt. They need to send groups of 6-8 through and the path will be brought back to glory, because they scenes were amazing. Please for gods sake get ride of the continious line aspect. TheKlockster
Sorry to ask this - but where is Psycho Path? That sounds kind of cool!
PKIbabe89
Sorry to ask this - but where is Psycho Path? That sounds kind of cool! THe line starts right a side of FOF I think.
PsycoPath
For all those upset with the way the line is set up, please complain to Guest Relations. Maybe something will get changed. The reason they did this is to cut down on the 3 hour waits that the Path has had in the past.
Captain Nemo
Psycopath is the only fearfest attraction that ever made me jump, maybe because I was at the end of the line.
RailRider
Pretty simple, to cut down on the lines give out the spead passes just like they are doing for hollow and fearstreet. The passes dont ruin the haunt like the continously moving line.
StXsteven
Great idea, I'm goingto call guest relations twice, wants on my cell, once on my home phone I will get my friends to call too. This could actually work...
