AamieAndShawn
I know they are like a week away anyone know what days for sure they are processing?
CoastersRZ
Well, generally, pass processing is the two weeks before the park opens to the public. Which means that this year it would be the first two weeks in April. Haven`t heard anything official from the park though.
AamieAndShawn
I called they arnt processing this year until opening day due to the new system thanks for replying though CoastersRZ
The Interpreter
IF they aren't processing til opening day, my guess is that it is yet another of the budget cuts being made to improve the balance sheet at the park pending a sale to the new owner. Look for many other kinds of cuts during this difficult year for the park.
CoastersRZ
Yes. That is likely the case. Although the effect of improving the books for this season is trivial in the grand scheme of the sale. It will be interesting to see what happens with the opening of the park at 10am instead of 9. Also, it will be interesting to see what happens with the gold pass perks such as early ride times. Are those going to be a thing of the past?
AamieAndShawn
Sounds like there ruining our park guys
teenageninja
Why does everyone have to be so selfish. I remember a time when being a pass holder just got you into the park an unlimited amount of times and some small discounts. No ERT, no double rides (which I never really used because the line was twice as long for those seats and I could either get off and walk around or stay in if they were nice that day). The park isn't going to go to hell in the long run, I'm sure if it is cut, which it may not be, those benefits will be back in the near future. CoastersRZ
Teenageninja, I wasn`t being selfish. I was simply stating that they advertise the gold pass as having certain perks. With the new theory of opening the gates at ten instead of nine, they will have certain logistical issues with any such program. PKI, in general, is very nice to their pass holders with perks throughout the year.
The Interpreter
Also, guests bought passes with the expectation that the benefits would be similar to those in the past. They may be, they may not be. Time will tell.
coastergirl
It will be interesting to see what happens with the opening of the park at 10am instead of 9. Have we had official word that the gates won’t be open at 9:00? I know that the calendar says 10:00 – 8:00 but it also said that on last years schedule and the gates opened at 9:00. The wording that got everyone worked up this year has been taken off of the PKI website so maybe we got worked up over nothing. Did anyone ask at the winter tour or was it addressed at all? CoastersRZ
As of the Winter Soar event, they were still planning on opening the gates at 10am, when the park opens. They were still fine tuning the issues, and what would happen to the ACE walkback. There was talk of using the old pass holder entrance. But they are still ironing out the details.
