coasterville
Don't look too hard for it, it's closed. Mandrin Cuisine was at the park a season or two on International Street in the first building to your left as you started up the street from the Front Gate. (The Swiss Building, for those that remember those days) For 2005 they tried a mexican eatery whose name I don't remember, that didn't even last a full season. Late in the 2005 season the eatery became a Skyline Chilli restaurant, and it was Skyline for WinterFest as well. (That restaurant has had numeours themes and menu's throughout the parks history, those Skyline seems to stick in my mind as it was Skyline for many years in the 80's/90's..) I also remember it being a deli the year the Swiss Building was rethemed into a vintage baseball stadium theme (The All Star), as well as a bagel restaurant, and I beleive a long time ago it was the Sausage Haus. It was actually called Deli during the period that it was first changed over to Skyline. It was a Deli style restaurant prior to that but for the life of me I can't remember the name of it. How many folk remember when Swiss Shop was two levels? There was an open air balcony that you could walk up stairs to get to. I know that Deli's Attick used to be used for storage of important park documents and records. Any idear if Paramount still uses it for that? PKIVortex
I noticed in one of the Nick Photos from the PKI exclusive tour, that the Skyline sign was down. Anyone know if it still will be Skyline for 2006, or is something different moving in. I thought the only reason they put Skyline up there late in the season last year, was so they could serve Skyline at Winterfest.
The Interpreter
WooferBear, nowadays all important Paramount Parks records are in Charlotte, not Cincinnati. And they now mostly probably live inside a computer hard drive, not on paper!
Enchanted Voyager
I ate at that place once. It was pretty good but really expensive. I could of got twice the amount of food at Happy Buffet for that price. But hey thats park prices for ya. Never had the burrito places food though. The Interpreter
Mandarin was REALLY good when it first opened. As they figured out what their costs were, though, the quality and the quantity both rapidly went downhill. Not long after, the amount of customers they could attract did likewise. It was sad, really. Unlike the Mexican place, which was just horrid from day one... All IMHO, of course.
S500
Skyline is on International Street
CoastersRZ
Yes, the Skyline on International Street will be back in 2006.
The Interpreter
Will both the other Skyline locations also return? It seems to me the one in Rivertown was almost never open anyway....
PKIWorker19
That location has been various things: Skyline, All-Star, Skips Bagels, All-Star(again), Mandarin, Border Cafe (Ole!), and now Skyline again. (That is all that location has been as far as I know) This location will remain skyline and is managed by Area 1. This location did very well in the last weeks before winterfest and did pretty well during winterfest so it might actually stay there for a while hopefully. The Skyline in coney mall will remain open, however, the one in Rivertown is now "World's Greatest Funnel".
