Buckeye-Beast
http://www.insurancejournal.com/news/east/...04/26/67612.htm I just wanted to hear opinions, on how you think this would work. I can see it now... Groups of 8 year olds with fake IDs.
Gordon Bombay
Its that womans fault for letting her son ride and not informing or looking to see what type of ride it was, its her sons fault for getting out. The stupidity of people amaze me.
WooferBearATL
Can't exactly find the 7 year old responsible for this. The claim that would be made would be for the death of the 7 year old. From a claims standpoint the park is gonna be all over this in liability.
Gordon Bombay
^The 7 year old got out of the boat, the ride didnt force him out nor instruct him to get out.

Minors are given greater latitude in that type of situation. If I had more facts I'd actually be able to tell ya a range that the company would be looking to settle. The Interpreter
You might want to know that the park where it happened is owned and operated by the County. That changes a lot of things. Westchester County, New York, it is. This is also mentioned in passing in the article.

It's all the same unless ya get hit in a car by a government worker on duty. <G> In that situation they claim soverign immunity.
