TRTR Guy
There wouldnt be so much trash if people actually used the trash cans. And as far as adding trash cans inside the TRTR cave, besides the one at the entrance, there isnt nowhere to put one, and secondly if people followed the no Food/ Drinks in the cave rule (which is posted outside) then the theming wouldn't look too bad. RingMaster
So please, when you say the employees really need to start cleaning better, that's an insult to the few people who are actually concerned like myself. True, many people don't care, they just want to clock out and leave at the end of the day, but there are some who really want to help the place, but management simply won't let them. "But I'm not saying that the ride ops suck for not doing that. All the ride ops are cool (props to Beast and Vortex crews); I'm just, you know, lost on the whole cleaning up bit." ^That's why I put that in there. Nearly every ride operator is very friendly and cool, unlike a few members of Ecology. Actually, from what Ive heard, ride ops are not allowed on the saucer. Probabily due to the fact that there are no tie off points, and that its probabily made of particle board. "...except get a couple of ladders and some Swiffer broom thingys and clean up the UFO." Hence, the reason for the long reach of the Swifer broom thingys.
MarketingExpress
Easier said than done. Cleaning (which is something 16, 17 18 year olds don't like to do) = Lots of time = $$ BTW Ecology sweeps up Que lines all the time When I started in food service I had a Supervisor (Mark Carroll - see I remember his name to this day!) that was so on top of the cleanliness that he had everyone hand dry the cracks on the floor at closing time. You could absolutely eat off the floors of the stands. So don't tell me that 16, 17 and 18 year olds can't clean. I never said that they can't clean, read my post. I said its not something they want to do (especially after working 8 hours or more)
WooferBearATL
I never said that they can't clean, read my post. I said its not something they want to do (especially after working 8 hours or more) We all do many things that we don't necessarily want to do but we do them because it's right. I think that the only time that I worked an 8 hour shift at Kings Island was when I was a morning person and was gone by 2pm or 3pm every afternoon. TheKlockster
How about a 15 hour shift? That's right - 9:15 AM to 12:30 AM. And I still stayed and cleaned... It is just part of the job... Eight hours is nothing.
deidre1976
It's the food prices that is killing me ........The ice cream is half the size it was and cost a small fortune. That is what is killing the Pass holders. Its hard to imagine $10.00 for four cones. I havn't checked on the pizza price with out the gold pass meal can anyone tell me? Food prices aren't dragging the whole attendance or park down, even though they are and have been rediculously high for a long time. It's a tired topic, really, and it's never going to get better.
