Reon
One of the main things about yesterday was it was my first TRUE solo visit. Now that I have my liscence, my parents let me do whatever I wanted. No deadline as to when I came home, and with our old minivan, I could go wherever I wanted. So naturally my maiden voyage (though technically it was going to work on Saturday) was going to CFKI. First thing I did was go get my parking pass. Then off to the rides! Normally I'd go straight to Vortex, but today I felt like taking on kiddyvill first. I was suprised that Scooby had NO line. So I rode it . 1170, but I came back later with 1550. Not the best, but still pretty good considering the last time I rode was back in '04. Next I started my coaster-thon with FoC and Avatar. I didnt wait more than 2 cycles on either, and got a good seat on Ava (back row, far side since you feel all the force and LIMs.) Then I got to the good stuff. I passed by TR and went right to Beast. I dunno if someone retracked it or something, but OMG it retained its old roughness. I think it was my best Beast ride in years. Next, off to IJ, where I found a short line and no attendant directing traphic. So I claimed front row. Solid ride, and great airtime going up that hill after the overbank. Then my favorite ride: Vortex. As usual, solid airtime, and delicious Arrow goodness. No other way to describe it. After the pinnacle of my trip, I continued my coaster rush, taking a front seat ride on FoF. Yet another great front seat ride. Then off to Racer. Unfortunately Recar wasn't running, so I missed that credit. Only coaster I didn't ride that day... Continuing on, I found myself walking on to AE backseat. Unfortunately no air today. Next I rushed to Action Zone, and took a dip on Congo to cool off (it was HOT yesterday.) After the refreshing plunge, I continued to Face/Off, where I chanted "we are hang and bang" throughout the duration of the ride. After that, Drop Zone, which only had a 1-cyle wait. After that I had to face the terror of Sonny..nuf said after that. At about 5, I had pretty much covered all the major attractions. So I went for a Coney and 3-way as I headed back for another round on Vortex and IJ. After that, and a walk-on to TRTR, I pretty much spent the rest of the night doing rerides... '06 stats: *Vortex-6 laps *Beast-2 laps *Racer(Recar)-2 laps *Racer(Racer)-2 laps *Adventure Express-3 laps *IJST-3 laps *Avatar-4 laps *FoC-3 laps *SoB-1 lap *Top Gun-3 laps *Cheese Coneys-3 *3 ways-
KIBeast
I really like The Vortex as well. I love the little dip before the big drop. It sets you up for a gut-wrenching drop, which is something that is lacking from many of the large coasters today. MF and TTD just don't have that kind of drop. TOPGUN1993
Vortex has the first Sweet Drop !!
PKIVortex
The drop on Vortex is still one of the best of any rollercoasters in my opinion. I love it in 7-1. Best seat on the entire train.
TOPGUN1993
Ya the last two seats are the best of Vortex.
The Interpreter
I used to think that. Then I sat in 5-1. After having been told to by Mr. Toomer himself. WOO HOO! And NO headbanging. None.

Millennium force's first drop is amazing though! I like the part on Vortex when you go into the first corkscrew really slow, it almost feels like you're going to fall out! Reon
Heres my breakdown of 'Tex: Backseat (7-2): Sit closer to the exit platform from sweet air. Obvious hotspot is the big drop (sweet floater air), but theres more. Coming off the midcourse, you hop out for a split second before plunging into the screws. Here, you float out of your seat and to the side (reason to sit on the far side: leg room for horizontal air.) Middle or train (exact middle row, dunno what car number): Suprisingly, you still get the pops from the backseat, but it gets better. If your restraints allow room, you get a nice pop going up that turnaround hill, and coming out of the loops.
PKIVortex
I'm not comfortable in any of the rear cars of Vortex, or any Arrow loopers. I'm a taller guy, and my knees always hit the seat in front of me. I may try the 5-1 seat though sometime. But normally I stick to 7-1, or ocassionally I will ride in 1-1.
