Mystery Mine

-The Journey

Something was seen up in the hills long ago... something. No one is to go into that area. Is the rumor true, or just a made up story to scare children?

It is said that whoever entered this "place" never got out. What is this place?

...The mystery continues!

The Mystery Mine is looking like it will be an awesome attraction. It is supposed to be the most heavily themed attraction, and the largest attraction ever to be at Dollywood. I went to Dollywood yesterday, and saw some site clearing in the area where the Mystery Mine is to be located. We will just have to wait for the official announcement on July 7th, to know what the attraction will feature!

Dollywood is really doing some amazing stuff! I love it when parks do these kind of "teases." It's kind of limited to one audience (the enthusiasts) but it gets us all talking (and we talk a lot biggrin.gif )

So...what's the rumor? Is this a Dive Machine? Maybe a Euro Fighter? (Or, maybe not even a coaster?)

Maybe it's that Mine drop ride from RCT3

... I would think this is a coaster, most likly a dive.

It is a Eurofighter. It will stand 121 feet high and will simulate going over a broken trestle into an abandoned mine shaft filled with tons of special effects and animatronics. The ride will feature a 121 foot high vertical drop, and will have inversions.

Dollywood is a really great park and I think I have seen some kind of concept art floating around on the internet some where. Anyway it looks pretty sweet and should be a blast.

"Your full of beans". If the details havent been released yet why ruin the surprise for everyone Deliriumbeast?
I wasn't trying to ruin the surprise. The surprise has already been released on Screamscape.com. The local news papers in Pigeon Forge have a rendering of the coaster, and they have a picture of the main engineer behind the project, holding up a picture of the layout of the ride. Screamscape has gathered that it is a coaster. I am sorry if I did ruin the surprise for everyone. Here is the concept art I think you were talking about flightoffear1996. This is the concept art I was talking about as well. http://www.screamscape.com/html/dollywood_...tery_mine_0.htm

If you are relying on screamscape for the facts, you'll come to find out that they are wrong about a great many things. In other words, wait for the announcement. Not trying to be mean, just keepin' it real, in the words of Dave Chapelle. Dollywood will release the real stats soon enough.

Screamscape thought the footers for Wicked Twister was going to be where they put a coaster similar to Superman at SFMM. We all know where that theory went.
