Of course, it all depends on what the Dept. of Agriculture, and authorities say as to when the ride could reopen, and then, of course, Cedar Fair's final decision. If they chose to permanently close Son of Beast, I'd greatly respect their decision. At least my last ride to this date was in the front seat on July 4. Plus my dad and i had a thing going and if i won he would ride it, he's a bit scared of it, and i definitely won. Also, this is the first real accident, that had lasting reprocussions, that i've heard of at KI, so i trust the staff will figure out what went wrong and fix it, they've done a great job so far... They will not reopen the ride unless they figure out what caused the problem, and make sure it won't happen again. My last ride was on July 4th as well. I rode it twice that day.
