July 18, 200620 yr I have been reading a lot of the posts here. I was searching the web and found this on a newspaper website (dayton daily news) Son of Beast Whether this is true or not, wow, someone has a lot of guts to put this out in the open. takes just one reporter to gobble this up and the public cries foul.
July 18, 200620 yr Simply put, there was NO FEASIBLE WAY this accident could have been prevented. Not too mention that website is PURE GARBAGE to begin with.
July 18, 200620 yr Theres a reason the park does not talk to ASO. The "Organization" is complete garbage, and does not release information on a non-biased basis. Look it up, the ONE man who works there does not report incidents on his favorite coasters.
July 18, 200620 yr Simply put, there was NO FEASIBLE WAY this accident could have been prevented. Not too mention that website is PURE GARBAGE to begin with. Guess we can tell those investigators from the Department of Agriculture to pack up then. Thanks for filling everyone in on the facts of the matter.
July 18, 200620 yr Well... I can say that I was at the park with a good buddy of mine (no names), I can tell you that he is a seasoned (26 years) structural engineer (or however you spell it). He told me just be LOOKING at SOB from the ground that it has a TON of problems! And I can remember him telling me that ALOT of people will get hurt on that ride... and he still hasn't ridden it. -hauntguy
July 18, 200620 yr All that website was something worse than something I would leave in the toilet. It is all BS>
July 18, 200620 yr Do they have any actual power or reason for existing, or do they just B h about wooden coasters being to ruff. They say there unbiased and KnowledgableASO about Thats like saying CBS cares for the Amusement industry.
July 18, 200620 yr Wow, that website is extremely biased when it comes to parks. They take bashing to a whole new level, and the "staff" doesnt seem to know anything about park operations. Oh Im sorry "venue" operations
July 18, 200620 yr Maureen put out a detailed question and answer press release with all of the issues discussed. Funny how ASO does not seem to recognize that.

Guess we can tell those investigators from the Department of Agriculture to pack up then. Thanks for filling everyone in on the facts of the matter. I'm pretty sure that it has already been verified that the accident was not preventable. It's not breaking news. Are you here to pick fights or what? You tried acting smug and know it all in the employee question thread as well. What gives?
July 18, 200620 yr when I read this my mind was just going excuse me! and I didn't know whether to gawk or scream at the website. Yeah I scream at inanamite objects. but seriously, this website is crud. ~vl2
July 18, 200620 yr Yeah, that website is not really a objective determinant of the "venues." This website has been brought up before and is by no means an official website. Heck, most of their complaintes are submitted by people, with no way to verify the reported injury actually occured. The website is more along the lines to criticize a park and make the webmaster sound like he knows a lot about the park.
