Does that contract mean that if they want to tear it down they have to wait till it expired or is that just when they can re-open if they plan to do so.

I think that whatever Kings Island and Cedar Fair does will be after the State makes its ruling on what exactly led to the cause of the accident. The State`s report may come after the date that the structural engineer`s report is due, as they will likely incorporate some of the things the engineer discussed into their report. Its too early for anyone to say when, realistically, the ride could be reopened. One thing is clear though. It will be after the state releases their findings on the accident.
