The Steel Venom roller coaster at Geauga Lake has been closed almost all season is there a reason for this? Will they reopen the coaster next year?

The ride has a bent fin from what I hear. The part had to be specially ordered and takes time to make and ship. Hopefully, it will be ready in may.

Looks like a great ride even though I have never been on it.

it is a fun ride, not as good as wicked twister, but it can hold its own...

^I agree that it's not as good as Wicked Twister. It should be ready for the 2007 season. Also, The Villain is getting rehabbed in the off-season.

I have been on Wicked Twister but never Steel Venom

Steel Venom was closed when I went but when I went to CP WT was amazing! PKIBeast, Im glad to hear the villian will be re-habbed, God knows it needs it terribly. By far, the worst coaster I've ever beeen on, including Son of Beast.

Wicked twister is a better coaster, but venom has that holding brake on the back spike. It gives an intresting feeling.

Combat, I heard this about Villain from Jeff Putz of Pointbuzz and Coasterbuzz. He had a conversation with Bill Spehn, I believe, in which he stated that it will be rehabbed in the off-season.

I rode Steel Venom when it was Superman, it was a pretty fun ride, the holding break is pretty fun.

I rode WT one time but in the second to front seat. I didn't really think much of it. Was it just where I was sitting?

Which coaster is better is a matter of opinion. In MY opinion, Steel Venom is only about 100x better than Wicked Twister. I'd gladly wait an hour to ride the front seat of Steel Venom, though of course I'd rather wait less.

I wouldn't wait 15 minutes to ride any seat on Wicked Twister, unless I was with friends who wanted to ride it. I consider it a huge snoozeathon compared to Steel Venom.
