RailRider
PsychoPath in the begining of FearFest was the best haunt in the park, but with the changes over the last few years has become a very sub par attraction. The fog isn't as thick and the continuous line is a joke. Will this years PsychoPath be a rebirth or will it be poorly executed like recent years past? I remember when they handed out the length of rope to your group and ordered you to go in to the woods and find the lost campers. I remember the fog so thick you could not see a foot in front of you. I remember the great actors that set the scene as you entered the trail. I remember the darkness... Will PsychoPath be Reborn this year? Lets hope so... Reclaimer
I hope so, too. I don't plan on wasting my time on standing in line for it unless I hear they've changed it for the better. I went through it last year and everyone in that continuous line kept joking around and just laughed at the actors. Why? You could tell when a 'scary part' was coming up since the person ten people in front of you would scream or something and *boom* there goes the surprise. RailRider
I felt bad for the actors of PsychoPath last year, because it was a joke. They were trying their best to scare people, but like you mentioned Reclaimer it was almost impossible for them. I was very upset that I wasted my time to go through it last year and especially that in parts it was dead stop so you just had to stand there and watch em spray the water out of the toilet. Oooooo so scary wonder whats coming up next.

PKIVortex
Why did they even decide to just let eveyone in at the same time last year? Saftey reason's capacity or what?
RailRider
Stupidity, lazziness, understaffing, poor planing. Not being concerned with the guest experience, instead concerned with get em through and get em out, you paid and we dont care if you enjoy the attraction or we provide you a quality product. Focus on other areas of the park. I am not saying this was the parks intentions, but compared to the other haunts this seriously is how I and other guests with me viewed these actions. Why dont you just turn the lights on and unplug the fog machines. I have still not hear a good explanation for last years actions.
Shman
It was stated many times last year that one of the reasons for changing the way the line ran was due to the high number of guest complaints and issues that happened in the line during the previous 3 years. A lot of bad things happen when drunk FearFest guests are waiting in a 2 (sometimes +) hour line. The park thought it was in the best interest to aleviate some of these problems by cutting down the wait time. Even though the Entertainment department fought long and hard trying to explain why this was such a bad idea from the start.
hausty1983
I remember a few years ago nothing but a long line that was not even moving hardly at all and my friends and I got in line and all of the sudden it started pouring down rain and it was horrible if you were stuck in line, and couldn't move anywhere. The line was a huge problem I know for sure...
StXsteven
Yes, there have been many fights in that ine, for some reason they always happen around me. The pushing through everyone at once didn't make a difference though, because the kids behind me tried to cut my group, and the group in front of us. The group infront of us were elderly ladies on a group together, I have never seen older woman get that crazy, they were offering to fight the younger ones if they brough it haha(it wasnt funny then of course.. but older ladies(60's+) fiighting is a pretty funny thought. So I don't believe that helped at all. I think they will do something about it this year, but its just a guess. Good luck KI.
teenageninja
They aren't trying to ruin the experience, they are trying to get the most people through as possible. You complain that they are trying to hard to get people through, however, you'd be complaining if the line was longer than it already is. That's the problem with a haunted trail, the lines tend to get very very long.
Reclaimer
I'll take the long lines if it doesn't ruin the experience.

RailRider
I never once complained about the long lines and still wont, because with the continous attraction PsychoPath is a wasted attraction for the guests and the park. I wonder why they dont fast pass it like they have other attractions for FearFest. Would make sense for me. Also you put some security down by the PsychoPath and problem solved or run the path in reverse that way guests are not so isolated waiting in line. I think the continous line through was a knee jerk reaction and hopefully we see a little better planning this year

Now running the haunt in reverse is a great idea, that thought never even went to my head, good thinking.
RailRider
Like I said I know people say that they did it last year because of the long lines and that a lot of different things were discussed, but honestly I am no genius nor is anyone else on here, but we all have thought of ways that could have fixed PsychoPath and still kept it one of the best haunts. I think it was a lack of concern and honestly get em in get em out attidute that killed the Path last year. StXSteven, how hard would it have been to print up some fastpass tickets for PsychoPath last year like they did for some of the other haunts? Also you think about it, if you run it in reverse you walk the train at a slight down hill and then you have that long dark walk back up to the park. If anything you could run the trail longer and include the old downhill que line as part of the Path. Do a chainsaw gauntlet up the hill. Throw some saw dust and mulch on the pavement to make it a little safer, put some crates and hay bales up and you still have a good dark path feeling. Would make for a better use of space and would also be a pretty intense ending.
