RailRider
We will drive in to Kettering for East of Chicago right off of Wilmington Pike. Only about 20 minutes from the house. Nothing better than a BBQ Chicken pizza from East of Chicago.
CoastersNSich
Back to the original topic, I was at the ACE No Coaster Con on Saturday, and Maureen said that there will not be a new restaurant open in the old International Restaurant space for 2007. She said that it was something that was really looked into, but put on hold due to accessibility issues. However, they realize the need for a full-service restaurant, and they hope to do something in the next few years or so.
CoastersRZ
Well, that is no real surprise to me that they have accessibility issues with the International Restaurant space. Hopefully, they will find a successful solution to a sit down restaurant in the future. Heck, they could return Wings to a sit down restaurant. The Interpreter
Gee...and people kept telling me I didn't know what I was talking about when I cited the accessibility problems with that location. Something tells me that will most likely be solved with the new gate building that Paramount had originally had planned.

Enchanted Voyage
This may have been talked about already but wasn't International Street Restuarant open year round at one time.?
WooferBearATL
It's had an extended season where it was open longer than the park but not year round. There was a time when the plan was to have International Street Open year round. Part of that would have kept the IR open all year. That was a plan prior to Paramount Taking Over. tubaman
I too have been hoping for a while that International Restaurant would reopen. I have to saw that not being from the area, I have always loved LaRosa's and get it everytime I'm in the Cincy area. When I'm at Kings Island, my diet pretty much cosists of Lar Rosa's pizza and blue softserve. Anyone wish they actually had German Food in the Octoberfest area again? They used to have some good brats, German potato salad, and beer at the Festaus and Beer Gardens (now Bubba Gumps) Cris I've had one really good brat in my life, where I also found out that root beer from a keg on ice is really good. I mean, that stuff is good. And, if you are wondering where it was, I was in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, and they had a brat fry to welcome the campers. Now, I can olny imagine, that since this brat was in a school, what one at a local restraunt would taste like. I bet that stuff is heavenly. Avatar
If you are really into fresh authentic German cuisine then if you are close to Columbus, Oh. May I suggest Schmidt’s Restaurant and Sausage Haus , the atmosphere there is just as authentic as the food.
tubaman
^After looking at that menu, I really wish I was close. But, Columbus is further away for me than KI, and KI is 4 hours away. I'd like to see some real German-American food in Feathus like others have mentioned above. Of course, I guess the only theme park that I go to for a realy culunary experience is Disney. When I go to KI, I get to go to White Castle, which makes me happy.

tubaman
White Castle? White Castle is where people go when they ain't been to a Krystal! Which, I plan to do on the same trip as when I go to SFoG. Last year, while on the band trip(once again) my friends and I ordered 150 slyders. I didn't tell them that it could be an aquired taste. We gave out a lot of food to other band members. But, I enjoyed my crave case, even though I didn't manage to eat them all. And the box itself, sits on top of my tv in my room. I would trade every Krystal within 100 miles of me for a White Castle that I could get to within a few hours!!!
