I am also looking forward to having 5 shows in the park this year. So where are all the shows going to be held this year?

3. Nickelodeon Theatre

5. Back Porch Stage

Also to the poster above, the Back Porch will not be used this year.

So if the Back Porch Stage is out and the Parade is out these are some possible choices,

They could also double-up the shows. They could have a show at Bandstand during the day and Karaoke at night...like in the past. Any ideas on what Paramount Theater will be called? I would assume the name will be changing. Back to American Heritage, maybe?!

Karaoke is not aa show. It's a cheap way of saying that there is "Entertainment."

So either the American Heritage dictionary is wrong, is accepting the fact that footer is used as slang, or perhaps both terms really are fine. Just had to comment since no one else seemed to see it.

Well, footer is the slang terminology. The more proper term is footing. Just like you hear people say 'the cement sidewalk.' It really is a concrete sidewalk, not cement. Cement is simply the glue that holds the concrete together.

What would be nice, is if each section of the park could have some kind of entertainment. Non-riders need something to do while riders are waiting in line. A show of some type near FOF and Firehwak would really help. Just a thought and I agree Karaoke is not entertainment. It can be cruel and unussual punishment.

And general dictionaries are not the best source for the proper use of technical terms...just as they are not for medical or legal terms either... Some of the people who come up with medical and legal definitions in those things are misguided, at best...

1) While I agree that general dictionaries are not good with technical terms, I only pointed that out that American Heritage dictonary definition because others were using the same general dictionary.com web page to prove THEIR point. Interestingly, no one pointed out at that time the limitations of said dictionaries, only now.

2) Wikipedia and a published dictionary are NOT the same thing and you know it. Wikipedia allows anyone to edit it, while the standards for published dictionaries are higher.

3) One could also clearly say that it would be foolish to trust as a source comments from people on an online forum unless you knew them personally and knew they were trained in such technical terminology. I have no way of knowing that. So to put it sarcastically (since another poster did with the "brain surgery" comment), why is pkicentral.com anymore "reliable" for me than dictionary.com or Wikipedia?

I also can't wait for the shows. I enjoy going to the shows, they are a nice break sometimes.

If that is the case, then I am certainly willing to listen. I did not mean to be negative, but the Wikipedia and "brain surgery" comments directed toward me were certainly that and I had to reply.

Actually Maxx pass perks work only at the park where the Maxx pass was purchased....for instance, say I bought mine at Carowinds...I can get in at Kings Island, but if I want a parking pass I have to pay for it, and I no get no Gold Pass thingies at Kings Island. Dem's the breaks!

New coaster in the park (so what if its uesd, its a great used coaster), New shows including an ice show (shows have been lacking at KI for a few years now) and SoB is getting some major work done and it sounds like its being fixed right. Still hoping for new trains here.

So anyone that is bitter or upset over these improvements has obviously not been to KI for awhile because these are things that greatly needed to be done and I dont think Paramount would have done them.
