flightoffear1996
I have noticed that Face/Off has no steps on its lift hill. So what happens if there needs to be a walk down how do they get the riders off. ** Never mind I forgot that the ride can be lower manually. Cory Butcher
unless it gets stuck . There was a case a few years ago that made national news. A ride nearly identical to Face/OFF got stuck up on the lift and the riders were stranded for nearly four hours (i believe, it could have been longer), there was breaking news about it on MSNBC and Fox, and cnn, it was all over the place. They couldnt quite get the mechanism dislodged or get the riders out, so the firefighters kept up water runs, getting bottles of water to the guests! Quite a sight! They were all prolly really uncomfortable.
The Interpreter
This used to be a very common experience on the regular boomerang at Kentucky Kingdom....one of many reasons it left that park (Vampire, anyone?)
PKIVortex
I believe that was Two Face that happend on, I remember hearing about it.
flightoffear1996
I have also noticed that Deja Vu has some steps on the boomer rang. What if Face/Off vallied there?
SOB_TOM
Ever notice how fast you are going through the Boomerang? Also, those stairs that are there for maintenance are horrible. They are really narrow, and when you are trying to carry something up, you pretty much hang off the side. Not the ideal place to be.
Jasper
Face/Off has stairs on the lift hill they are just on top of the track which pretty much serves no purpose in having them if you break down. I remember i was reading a popular mechanics magazine about coasters that vallied in the boomerang and it showed pics of it being stuck and nobody was upside down but they were pretty daggon close. Vampire was removed not only because of the boomerang valley but i heard they had some stuck actuallyin the loop.
PKIVortex
I don't think Vampire ever got stuck in the loop. However The Demon at Six Flags Great America did get stuck upside down in a loop back in 1998.
tubaman
^I remember seeing that on one of those "Most Amazing Video" shows. At the time, seeing it made me worry about riding any looping coaster. But last year, I got on that ride and it was just fine. Also, something I didn't know until after riding it, the Iron Wolf at SFGAm was used in Richie Rich. Almost makes the pain of riding it worth it, almost.
PKIVortex
Yeah I also rode The Demon a few years ago, I did think about what happened, but wasn't worried.
