Bufnstuf
I woke up with a sore neck this moring, but promised my son we could go to KI on Saturday. Can someone PLEASE tell me the best place to sit on the following coasters for the smothest rides? Adventure Express The Beast The Racer Vortex Flight of Fear Top Gun (does it matter?) Thanks a million!
Coasterfan
Welcome! On the wooden coasters with 3 rows per car, the second to last seat on the train is usually smoothest. Not sure about others though.
Delirium33
On The Beast, The 2nd and 3rd rows of the MIDDLE car are the smoothest in my opinion.
Coasterfan
Me thinks we're in sync lol

PKIDelirium
I would sit in the front seats of Top Gun, Adventure Express and Vortex.
ScootZilla
Well i say the m,iddle seat middle row for The Beast. For Vortex i would say the last car back row is smooth when i rode plus going down the first drop is very nice with some good air time. BoddaH1994
Wood coasters are turbulent by nature, so I'd go with the above and say that if you still intend to ride them. Also don't forget that many steel coasters, especially Adventure Express, have very strong lateral forces. At the entrance to each ride there is a posted Fun and Safety guide outlining several things including ride elements and medical condition warnings. I'd highly recommend reading those and following the guidelines. Don't forget, you know your limitations much better than Kings Island does. corn4ahead
I find that the front cars are generally the smoothest.
JxAx
For beast, just sit in the middle row of pretty much any car, just like everyone else has said. sitting on the wheel seats will give you the jerkier ride. Adventure Express is pretty smooth in the front seat. Racer, I'm not sure...(but im guessing the same goes for The Racer as it does for The Beast) in my opinion, backwards is smoother than forwards. On Vortex, I've had the smoothest ride in the back seat of the last car. Flight of Fear, I really dont know. Seems like a smooth ride anywhere you sit. Same goes for top gun. However, the ride is 10 times better in the front seat.
DropZone99
on the wooden roller coasters the smoothest sopt is in the very middle. on Vortex and the other steel roller coasters itll be the front. =]
Bufnstuf
Wow! Thanks everyone for the input. I've never really paid attention to where I've sat and had some rough rides, so I was nervious. Hopefully, with all of the information provided, it will be a great day! Thanks again.
bear295
I agree with the others. Steel - front seat or very back. Only problem I have with Arrow trains is that the back seat of a "car" doesn't have very good knee room. I always find my knee caps wedged against the back of the seat in front. Don't really find that true of woodie trains. Bear295
Delirium13
Adventure Express - I really don't have any advice for Adventure Express. The Beast - I usually get my smoothest rides from the middle of the train on up, A year or two ago I had very uncomfortable ride towards the back, so in my opinion you should avoid the back of the train. Sit towards the middle front in the middle of the car so you aren't on a wheel. The Racer - Same as The Beast Vortex - Very back seat is the best Flight of Fear - Doesn't matter Top Gun - Doesn't really matter but if you want the most fun ride sit in the very front. Hope this helps! Have fun Saturday!
Cory Butcher
For Beast I always sit in the very front seat or middle of front car...of the whole train, I find that to be the least rough! Do Not sit in the back car of the blue train on Racer....its a doozey! I hurt my back on it one day...and had trouble driving home!
