ethal1222
I'm going to KI to ride Firehawk tomorrow and I'm planning on getting there right when they open. Anyone know what kind of wait times Firehawk has in the morning?
Captain Nemo
Well, like most new rides, everyone flocks to the new ride. I call it "The running of the bulls". The day it opened I along with Zoso and RZ got to the park at 9:15 and still had to wait a good hour to get on the ride once it opened. The best time to get to the ride is in the morning. Either way I think Firehawk is worth any wait time. Have fun!
Delirium33
If this helps, Friday Firehawk opened five minutes after the park did. So hopefully that's the case this weekend.
ZosoBeast
I was there Friday morning as well and was impressed to see it open along with the rest of the park! This time, the yellow train was running and the Red train was on the transfer track. Have we had a day yet when both trains were running? Dvo
I showed up at 9:30 on Tuesday, and I ran as fast as I could back to Firehawk and got 6th person in line. So needless to say, if you can run fast and long enough, you can get on very fast.

Falls are the number one cause of injury in amusement parks. Why on EARTH are they allowing people to RUN to the ride? WHY? Please understand I have no bone to pick with Dvo. But the question remains, why is Cedar Fair allowing this unsafe, dangerous practice?
CoastersNSich
This is one reason why I prefer going to the park and doing Firehawk later in the evening. The line is dying down, and there's no rushing, hustling, and bustling to get on. Not to mention no waiting for the parking tolls to open, no wait at the metal detectors, then the park turnstiles, and then at a rope, and then potentially getting run over. Monday's experience is something I don't wish to repeat.
