CrazyKay07
I don't if I can't put this here or not, but I went to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventures a week ago, and just wanted to say how much fun it was. We first went to Universal Studios! I love the park! We rode everything, including Twister, The Mummy, Earthquake, Jaws, Men in Black, E.T., Shrek 4-D and Terminator! I must say the Mummy is one of the best roller coasters I have ever experienced! I love the special effects! The coaster is not thrilling like Magnum or something, but it is thrilling in it's own way! We rode it twice, first we waited in the standby line as they call it, and then the singles line just so we could go straight to the front. Suprisingly, our family wasn't even split up that much. Wednesday, we went to Islands of Adventures. They definately have their share of fun rides, but they could more. It's really an exciting park. We started with Dueling Dragons. The line for that ride is so cool. It's like the TRTR line, but way longer, darker, and has so many skeltons. The ride itself was awesome. We chose the fire side. I love when roller coasters drop to the side instead of straight down and that's what it did. That ride was just short though. We also rode the Hulk. They kept saying that some difficulties with the gamma radiation and there would be a short delay. (Lies!!) The ride only closed when it rained, and we refused to leave because we were so close to the front. The ride was awesome though. The launch was fun, and then straight into the little corkscrew was fun. That ride is pretty fast to me, and fun. We also rode the Spiderman ride, which is amazing! The technology on the ride is cool. I love the 3D effects, and how you fell like you are flying. We also rode the Jurassic Park River Adventure, some Dr. Seuss rides, and that was about it.... We also went to Disney World during our week stay, but that wasn't as exciting as those two. We went to Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Animal Kingdom. Expedition Everest was really fun. It's one of the few coasters Disney has. I will stay prices are crazy!!!!! You think KI is bad??? Yeah, go there. KI needs to lower there prices because they don't have that much to offer compared to them. Well, those parks are $67. The thing I also loved about those parks are the wait times. Every ride has an estimated time to wait, and they continuously update them. Most of the time, you end up waiting less than what they say, but lines down there never stop moving! The capacity levels are so high. And then some rides have cars that never stop moving also. The themed lines also help the time go by. And since this is Florida, the lines are in air haha. Some rides had the single rider line which cut your time literally in half. My family utilized this three times during the whole trip My family had a good time though. And this was my graduation gift, and I enjoyed every minute of it! I hope no minds I wrote this all here at KIC! Keshia

Take care God Bless Marcia I know what you mean. My family used to be able to afford to go every other since I was born. The last time we went before this was 2001. I asked my parents at the beginning of my junior year if I could go to Disney World for graduation. I wanted to be able we could afford to go. It was rough financially but we did it. We will probably be paying for it for the next month. But it was worth it and I hope you can go soon!!
jzarley
Glad to hear you had a good time at Universal...not only is IOA my favorite park anywhere, but three of my top five favorite rides (Spiderman, The Mummy, & Dueling Dragons) are at Universal Orlando. While you're right that The Mummy isn't the biggest or fastest coaster, it's very well paced and the quality is top notch. (It's actually my favorite coaster...with MF at CP coming in #2.) Spiderman is my #1 favorite ride overall...of all ride types.
