KIAlumnus Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 In years past, KI celebrated the 4th of July over 3 days (July 3, 4, 5). Now they are celebrating it only on July 3rd? Anyone know why that is? Quote
tigellinus Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 Hey, whatever keeps the crowds down on Wednesday (when *I* am going!) works for me!!! Quote
Guest kwindshawne Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 I bet...and this is just my thought...maybe they did that so everyone could rest up before returning to work the 5th. If I wasn't working, I would go.... Quote
katreina Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 Hey, whatever keeps the crowds down on Wednesday (when *I* am going!) works for me!!! that's when I'm going too, so I agree with you there. Quote
The Interpreter Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 Note that at least some other Cedar Fair parks are celebrating the Fourth ON the Fourth. Carowinds comes immediately to mind. Quote
BoddaH1994 Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 They probably looked at attendance and the day before the 4th was the highest. For those of you who didn't read the other post, Kings Island will be celebrating the 4th of July one day early. July 3rd at 10pm Kings Island will have an expanded fireworks display. Quote
KIfan73 Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 I wonder if it is to somehow compete with Red, White, and Boom...although, I don't really see how KI could compete... Quote
