June 29, 200719 yr In years past, KI celebrated the 4th of July over 3 days (July 3, 4, 5). Now they are celebrating it only on July 3rd? Anyone know why that is?
June 29, 200719 yr Hey, whatever keeps the crowds down on Wednesday (when *I* am going!) works for me!!!
June 29, 200719 yr I bet...and this is just my thought...maybe they did that so everyone could rest up before returning to work the 5th. If I wasn't working, I would go....
June 30, 200719 yr Hey, whatever keeps the crowds down on Wednesday (when *I* am going!) works for me!!! that's when I'm going too, so I agree with you there.
June 30, 200719 yr Note that at least some other Cedar Fair parks are celebrating the Fourth ON the Fourth. Carowinds comes immediately to mind.
June 30, 200719 yr They probably looked at attendance and the day before the 4th was the highest. For those of you who didn't read the other post, Kings Island will be celebrating the 4th of July one day early. July 3rd at 10pm Kings Island will have an expanded fireworks display.
June 30, 200719 yr I wonder if it is to somehow compete with Red, White, and Boom...although, I don't really see how KI could compete...
