  1. I'm having amnesia - what is in the area that I've circled in this pic? I seem to remember it being nothingness but the aerial view looks like it used to be something?
  2. I can imagine it was...I never made it over that far! They used to do some cool things with that theater way back when. I remember the Nickelodeon slime show, that was pretty awesome.
  3. I'd like to see something in between the Great Pumpkin coaster and the Woodstock Express - maybe a nice smooth ride with a couple decent drops. Back in the theater area would be great - the petting zoo is such a waste of that space and I've yet to see it used for anything good in several years (at least that I can remember). Why not tear all of that out and actually put a good little ride? I also feel so bad for those poor animals when it's really hot out.
  4. We always play a couple games right before we leave - if one of us wins, it's like an extra little excitement to end the night. However, we typically don't stay until close - three little kids just can't hang that long. I feel like 8-9pm has more action over in Coney with other families doing the same as us which makes it a lot more fun!
  5. That's really cool! I hope they play around with lighting this season, might brighten up the area at night a little bit.
  6. @harmony29- we had some friends that we frequent the park with that had it last year and I do remember them using the app and having someone at the ride booth scan the app to load the photo for them. I'm just not sure on the other types of park photos, like the ones at the entrance and such. I don't want it to be a hassle...especially after doing the Disney memory maker, which is just crazy easy.
  7. Same here and curious also!
  8. Looks like you can also submit a request on their site as well: https://www.visitkingsisland.com/media-center
  9. "It's the most expensive haunt building in the world..." LOL
  10. Yes, The Bat is so fun! My 8 year old and I will ride it several times in a row in the very front car, which is so underrated. There's such a strange feeling to be the first car dangling when the ride comes out of the lift.

KI's kids area really is awesome - both of my boys loved it when they were 4. I think the coolest part about it for kids that age is going on rides all by themselves (space buggies, red baron planes, dodge em's, pumpkin coaster) and then a mix of rides they can go on with parents. And...there's nothing cuter than your little one waving every time they circle back to where you are.
  12. I totally agree. I know of some families who used to do this long ago as well. We camp quite a bit as a family, I think it would be awesome if they did this. Just a simple campground with a couple nice shower houses...I think it would be cool if they built one close enough to the park that you could hear the rides and such. One can wish!
  13. I think something like that would be really cool, like audience interactive as well. I'm thinking about how much my family enjoyed the WDW Monster's Inc Laugh Floor because it was so guest interactive, even though we weren't chosen to participate.
  14. It's really the best form of advertising to people like me...who it will annoy to no end until I find out the answer. lol I'm very much pulling for a nice, large restaurant so at least the odds are in my favor.
  15. ^^Now that is really interesting! I am not super familiar with the layout of Soak City as I didn't visit it much before they put this restaurant in (now it's a trip on the train for some food for me!) but surely there was something there before it that had to come down, right? It does seem really odd that they've been working in Coney Mall for months now and no announcement...yet this time last year, they were just breaking ground. Hrmmmmm!
  16. I have a similar question, but I was more curious about whether or not we actually had to go through pass processing again or just use our old passes from last year since we used the same codes on the current cards to renew. Will the old passes automatically work?
  17. I remember riding Son of Beast during its first year thinking afterward, "Why would anyone want to do that again?!?!" I never rode it after they changed it up to make it smoother. The Beast can be a little rough for me but not too bad. I rode it once last year and had a headache afterwards but nothing that would have deterred me from riding it again. My 8 year old says his head hurts after riding as well, but he still goes back for more. lol
  18. This was really entertaining! Thanks for sharing.
  19. I seem to recall when I was a kid, the queue for The Beast had eerie, spooky music playing...chains rattling...am I imagining this? I really felt like it added to the ride. When I took my oldest boy on it for the first time, I was disappointed that it was missing. **Yes, I went on a very long KI hiatus from the time my first child was born until both of my older kids were old enough to go and enjoy it ) That would be so easy and cheap to add back in...
  20. I haven't ridden it in YEARS...not sure why but I never make it over there. But...isn't this it?
  21. Hopefully they'll do well off Richmond Rd. and expand out to Hamburg. I am similar to you, I live in Winchester but work in Lex...
  22. What? When? Where???? I'm in Lexington also.
  23. There are days where I really wish they had the trams there again! My 5 year old sometimes hits a wall and just can't go on any longer...luckily he doesn't weigh that much.
  24. It was not too long ago...on 1/8, which is why I thought it was odd that it disappeared.
  25. I just noticed that the 2018 calendar has the Gold Pass Preview day removed.... But...the ad is still there on the same page. ?
