  1. The article does say this though. “The Zoo has been closed since March 16 due to this global pandemic, and while we are confident that we’ll reopen sometime this summer, we cannot predict when. With this uncertainty and budget pressures, we must take steps to be fiscally responsible and protect the long-term future of our institution,” said Columbus Zoo and Aquarium President/CEO Tom Stalf. 2. I sent that picture just to show what trains might look like when the park opens, nothing else. I call it social distancing because they’re socially distant from each other and I don’t know what else to call it. You also don’t need to put ... after every sentence/in the middle of sentences. Anyway, since the state doesn’t mandate facial coverings to be worn in public, if the park itself wanted to have them, they could probably enforce it.
  3. Example of social distancing at Fantawild amusement park in China.
  4. “They would need four to six weeks notice to get things prepared for when it opens.” They could do it in four weeks not 6. Who says the park can’t prepare to open without having a set date by the government? And who knows if the government has already talked to them about when they should be prepared to open?
  5. Orion will be a absolutely fantastic coaster. B&M knows what they’re doing. Before Mako opened I’ve heard a lot of people calling Mako a mediocre hyper, calling it to short in length, and other similar to things that people get upset with Orion with. And then people rode it, and now it’s arguably their best hyper in the world. Every element of Orion will be unique (except maybe the camelback) and really feel like nothing else. That first drop I can see being a contender for best in the world back seat.
  6. It’s confirmed not a POV of Orion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I keep seeing this picture on Twitter and immediately think it’s Orion but it’s always Fury 325 lol
  8. So many things in there that I disagree with, however, I’ll focus on one. By the time parks can open, a lot of people will be fed up with hiding in there houses for months. You already can see it now. They would love to visit a amusement park for change. And for the people who still would be afraid to go out (which I understand why and the park wouldn’t force anyone to attend obviously) if getting the parks to be as safe as possible is what would get people to attend, Kings Island, along with many other parks could pull this off. Here are some different ideas parks could implement for people to feel safe. - Provide free hand sanitizer to all guests - Provide hand washing stations to all guests - Provide face masks to all guests - Use TVs in queues to educate guests about CDC guidelines - Spray or clean all public areas of the park with disinfectant every night - Wipe down every seat on every ride after each person goes on it or wipe down every seat every night - Take everyone’s temperature before entrance - Require guests who enter the park to show recent test results indicating they don’t have the virus - Enforce 6 foot separations between parties in queue lines - Regularly test all employees for the virus - Have all employees wear masks and gloves Keep in mind, the main goal of this quarantine was to stop a large amount of the population getting sick at the once, and instead, spread out the amount of cases.
  9. If you look at the most recent drone footage there still are some workers around the area. However they do seem to be going at a slower pace which doesn’t surprise me at all.
  10. I know you didn’t directly say it compares to Kings Island, however, the ... at the end of your previous statement, to me, implies the idea of that since this fair closed, Kings Island could be next. So I looked up an article on the closure and found many differences between the fair and Kings Island, so for any one else like me, who thought since this fair closed Kings Island also might close wouldn’t have to worry more. As for the food and drink plans, they have been extended to next year so people wouldn’t feel the need to have to use them this year. I also didn’t mean fire people who are old, I meant if old people are afraid of getting sick, then the park could replace them. If they aren’t afraid, keep them.
  11. That fair shouldn’t be compared to Kings Island as it has closed for reasons that Kings Island doesn’t really have to worry about. This information is taken from this article https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cincinnati.com/amp/5152484002 “Holding the fair puts our volunteers and patrons at risk, many of whom are in a high-risk group,” Pete Rebold, a chairman for the fair, said in a statement. Kings Island does not have volunteers and many of KI’s workers seem to not be high risk since most are young and the few high risk workers could be replaced with low risk workers. Rebold said there were also concerns about how enjoyable the fair will be if protective measures are still in place. “How do you drink a beer through a mask?" Rebold said. "How do you accomplish social distancing at an event where everyone is coming to spend time with their friends and family." Kings Island main focus is its attractions not food, and I’m sure the park would be enjoyable to everyone who has been cooped up in their houses for the last month. Dine in restaurants are most likely to be open before the park anyways, so you would most likely be allowed to eat/drink at the park And with social distancing, Universal and Six Flags have both looked into ways of social distancing at the park. “The board said there were other serious complications, such as securing sponsors when many businesses are closed and working with the school when they aren't in session.” Kings Island doesn’t rely on sponsors and does not work with schools. If anything, having schools closed would bring in more people to the park.
  12. This ride will be incredibly fun, no doubt about it. Especially when it hauls on a hot summer day. What’s your top 5?
  13. Construction is not complete. There is still more of the queue rails being worked on and theming as well. So while it’s not 100% complete, most of the big stuff seems to be complete, now it’s just finishing touches.
  14. Here is somewhat of an idea of when we can see Kings Island open/requirements for Kings Island to open. https://www.whitehouse.gov/openingamerica/#criteria
  15. Even if those researchers know everything about the future, Who says you can’t social distance at a amusement park?
  16. Beautiful day! Waiting for front row on Diamondback! Sad to see Vortex gone but my mind automatically pictures Vortex where it used to be since it was there for so long.
  17. I had some extra time today so I thought it would be a good idea to record Mystic Timbers truck audio!
  18. I’ve heard that Pantheon can send out its next train as soon as the previous train goes over the tophat.
  19. Edit: http://www.knotts.com/passholder-update
  20. I know something like this would be extremely unlikely for Kings Island however, this would be a type of coaster I’d want to see the most at the park.
  21. I found these pictures on a coaster discord channel. Not sure how they got them.
  22. I don’t really think we need that negativity. Here is a neat article about how the United States is giving aid to Americans through boats. I truly believe the United States Government will do whatever it takes to prevent deaths due to Covid-19.https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/2020/03/27/us/california-hospital-ship-trnd/index.html
  23. We adopted her from a local animal shelter when she was very young maybe 3 months old and that was 2 years ago. So around 2 going on 3. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. My cat, Shelby! Don’t worry she’s not angry, she’s just yawning.
