I think all that exists of it is that shotty home video. Crazy there isn't as much. Most of the pictures have a full queue but not many people filmed on or off of it

Hey guys! A friend and I are currently working on a docuseries on Kings Island's former coasters as well as current coasters and oddities of the park. I was wondering if anyone had an footage of Bavarian Beetle (I know there is a shotty home video and BSAH video) Demon (Can't find anything at all) King Cobra (My friend asked but might as well ask again) Scooby's Ghoster Coaster (I know there is some footage but I was wondering if there is more) Coasterstock Flight of Fear with King Cobra's trains Ferris Wheel that replaced Bavarian Beetle If you have anything else, it would be really cool to add just to have an archive if it isn't posted anywhere. Kings Island has many holes in its lineup. Not a single spinner, ejector machine, inversion focused sit down, or and intense launch. As of now, I’m guessing there are a few contenders for the next coaster: S&S free spin (bigger model) S&S hyper (Steel Curtain) Mack multilaunch Mack spinner B&M Dive B&M wing RMC hybrid ground up There’s pros and cons to each. The free spin isn’t a groundbreaking ride and could be seen as the same thing as SFGAM’s Joker, but is cheap, don’t take up a ton of space, and are good rides. The hyper isn’t reliable but isn’t like anything in the area. The multi launch is very expensive but has a good ROI and a good ride. The spinner doesn’t have a ton of cons, but I don’t see them adding it. The dive could be seen as a Valravn ripoff as well as the wing with GateKeeper, but they’re GP magnets. RMC would be an enthusiast magnet, but I doubt CF works with RMC for a little bit. What are your thoughts?

Any speculation? I’m guessing they’ll do a little bit of everything to satisfy people. I was just talking to Fitzy and my guesses are they will get some new food options (haven’t been able to go there yet, but I’ve heard they’re limited), some updated walkways/scenery, and a new smaller investment coaster. I’m thinking either a GTX, rmc Hoosier Hurricane, or a Gravity family to add to the wood tradition the park has. It’s their first year back I think they want to make a big statement that they’re serious without breaking the bank

Why not a haunt theme? Make a year-long haunt section. My favorite haunt is the outpost 5 one. Bat and Banshee are already themed. Just slap some scary imagery around and you’re golden (I’m guessing that Invertigo and Congo falls are on their way out anyway)

I only got stapled once. The ride ops were pretty nice. There was once where a lightning run op tried to push my seat down (I’m a smaller built guy and it didn’t need to go down farther) other than that it was really good. A few times the lap bar would come down farther on the ride, but that happens on any coaster

Honestly this park needs a graceful airtime machine. I know the airport is near so 200+ for a hyper would be tough, but the possible raptor by eye of the storm and my the turn into the TTDU of storm chaser will fit nice. I was talking to my cousin since he was at my house when I got home and he said the one we don’t talk about was terrible and he only rode it once. I wouldn’t say KK is the best park tho, I went on a dead day at KI and marathoned Diamondback (before mystic was there) and got multiple rides on each coaster. What the kingdom does outdo KI on is its flats. Cyclos was absolutely insane, and was infinitely better than Delirium and I love Delirium. Best part of the park was definitely the laid back ops. Besides the op that tried to (and eventually did) staple me, they didn’t even push the lap bar down at all, and I’d get anywhere from both of my hands pancaked to fist length between my thigh and the lap bar

I’m wanting it to be different than RCDB. I believe that there isn’t an archive of merchandise that was sold or promos (I know some rips exist on YouTube, but not at a central location).

I’ve been thinking of making a KI archive site. It will be a site where every coaster that has operated at the park has a page that includes Opening date Closing date (if defunct) Height, drop, speed, length Commercials, promo materials, or reveal trailers Picture of the coaster Pictures of any merchandise (if it has any) POV (if exists) Wiki-esque history blurb What would be a good name for this? I’m thinking Kings Island Archives, but I will listen to what people think sounds good

I thought of a perfect way to keep the old station for the next coaster and be able to make it so the lines aren’t overflowing into the midway. If you didn’t know under The Vortex station, there is an old switchback (not sure if they are still there) that was used for The Bat. I found this out when my dad told me about it when he rode it when it was open. He said that rarely, if ever, spilled in the midway. What they could do is bring the underground switchbacks back (I’ve heard that it was used as a break area) and put a coaster in it. My guess is either a surf coaster (I’m guessing it will be a stand up esque ride but more in a jet ski seating) or a Mack multilaunch ala Copperhead on steroids. Do I think this will happen? Jokes over. Do I think they will keep the old station. Probably not. I think they’ll keep it for a haunt building until a new coaster is under construction

The only credit I need besides Orion (for obvious reasons) is Great Pumpkin and the other rides I haven’t ridden are the upcharge attractions and wind seeker (for obvious reasons) and I’ve never been to the water park if that counts

I’d rather see an airlaunch or an S&S were to come to the park. FoF and BSC are both clones and just aren’t great in the first place. Maxx force wasn’t open when I went to Great America, but it looked awesome

I hope Ki does something similar to Alton Towers and puts the batwing at the entrance of the park. It would be so cool and a nice tribute to the coaster

As unlikely as it is, I the land is big enough to hold a raptor and an infinity. I doubt Cedar Fair is going to add 2 coasters in a year, but maybe with a 3 year gap in between each
