  1. wow. very nice picture. thanks for sharing
  2. I would never hold my arms up on FoF.... goes too fast. I feel much safer holding on lol
  3. I've never really been stuck on a ride. I was on Vortex once and it stopped part way up the hill but they got it moving again quickly. And then when i was on IJST once it stopped on the back track at the end of the ride the ride shut down for technical delays so we were sitting there for about a minute, but other than that i've never gotten stuck.
  4. I waited 2 and a half hours for IJST. BIG mistake. 3 technical delays... My friend wanted to go on it, otherwise i would have said screw it.
  5. It doesnt move quick enough and that line is a killer on your feet. ever heard of flip flops?? wear them in the park, wear them in the line, and just hold them when you get on the ride. that's what i do all the time.
  6. let me guess... you went on a saturday. PKI is ALWAYS slow on a saturday. don't you go blaming the park employees for the slowness. blame your own stupidity for going on a busy day. And, from personal experience, rides would go a LOT faster if fat people didn't try to cram themselves into coasters they know they can't fit on. rides would go a lot faster if parents would not try and sneak their kiddies on when they're too short. Rides would go a lot faster if people would obey the rules. IMO rarely is a ride slow due to employee's fault. Usually it is the park guests not obyeing the rules that makes things go so slow. as for "old coasters" did you completely over look the area called Action Zone? Those rides are not that old, and they're still a lot of fun. and there is one "old" ride that is a legend, it's age is part of what makes it famous. it's called The Beast. it's old, but it's still fast, and still fun. If you don't like PKI, we'll be very glad not to have you back. No one likes a whiner. It's only a matter of time before Six Flags gets to you, trust me. and the fact that you went to KI alone says a lot. KI is always boring by yourself. Grow up, and stop whining. The world is not out to please you, nor does KI care what one person thinks.
  7. my list is as follows: Drop Zone Adventure Express Son of Beast Drop zone: straight up freaky A.E.: BORING! S.O.B.: painful
  8. you got a point. hey! let's not be rude, ok? they're entitled to ask. ever occur to you they might not remember pki's site?
  9. the entrance is up just past the restrooms right by Happy Days Diner. quickest way would be go to the Eiffel Tower, make a right, go down the hill towards rivertown (IJ will be on your left) and then at the restrooms hang a left.
  10. well, I still don't plan on working that day. besides, that'll be after i start school and i'm only going to be working saturdays and sundays once school starts and use friday to do my homework.
  11. Back in the day, I was an operator at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom. I have to say that it is very exhausting to check bars and operate roller coasters. I have worked in food service AND I have worked in rides operation. Rides Operation is a HELL OF A LOT HARDER than Food Service... The question is whether or not you can handle it! yeah. i'll believe it when i get to that point. My brother works in rides and he loves it. he said it's pretty easy I doubt it's HARDER, more exhausting and boring, perhaps, but not harder. how hard is it to check a harness or push buttons? seriously, i've seen it done enough times *I* could do it (and yes i know if you forget to check even an empty seat you could get written up. always check the invisible people's harnesses )
  12. I will definitely come if i'm not workin at that time... ooh wait i requested that day off. YAY i'll have to come. lol.
  13. Delirium accepts carry on items. that's because they have a metal box to put your stuff in, and it's still your risk to leave it in there. I don't mind leaving my bag in the station when I go on rides b/c if someone wants to steal my bag and find out all it has in it is my work uniform and they can't do anything with it anyways, that's their choice. while i wouldn't be HAPPY if they stole my work uniform, it could be replaced. I keep my ID badge on me though and usually leave my wallet and car keys in my locker and tie my phone's wrist strap to my belt loop. tomb raider employees will take your large carry on items and hold them for you. but they tell you if you have any valuables (i.e. money, keys, cell phone, etc.) you have to put it in the zippered pouch in front of you AND they tell you they are not responsible for any articles left behind either in the item holding area or in the zippered pouches.
  14. I seen MORE floats. I seen more Characters. I seen them dancing! Ummmmm, maybe you had your back to it? It also seemed to last just as long as last time.... It was a GREAT show imo! no i didn't have my back turned. ok so there are a few more characters, and perhaps one new float, but overall, i still think it was not as good as last year. I was sitting near Funnel Cakes on International Street facing the Eiffel Tower.
  15. um, in case you haven't been to KI recently, the employee shirts are not the same as they were last year. they look different, and I doubt KI would sell shirts that look like the employee shirt. in a minute i will go take a picture of the entire shirt but this is what the collar looks like:
  16. well, they brought it up first. I agree people should not take a jillion valuables. camera? leave the digi at home, pay $10 to get a disposable one and get it developed. cell phone? wear something with zipper or velcro pockets where it wont fall out. cash? leave the wallet at home. take plenty of cash and your license, put them in your back pocket. you'll be sitting on them, they won't fall out. I go on rides all the time with bills in my back pocket. take a zip-loc for your change. or better yet leave the cash at home and take a credit card. as for sunglasses, I figured out if you stick it through your belt loop and tuck your shirt over them, they'll stay on fine. I ran into this issue on Face/Off the other day. I had my purse in my locker, i just had my cell phone on me (which i tie around a belt loop and hook over my shorts button underneath the button hole) and my sunglasses and i was like crap i cant take these on. they'll get crushed in my pocket. so i stuck em in my belt loop and put my shirt over them, they stayed put. as for waterpark stuff, just take your suit and a towel and only the basics you need. if an employee is gonna gripe about you leaving a small bag with sunscreen, water shoes your suit and towel in it, then they have issues.
  17. no, Delirium is still out of service. They are awaiting a part from Germany, which could take awhile. It's expected to be out of service for about another month.
  18. and what about the towel? and the shoes most ppl wear at the water park to avoid hurting their feet? not everyone wants to walk around in a wet bathing suit the rest of the day, esp not under their regular clothes. then you have wet clothes the rest of the day. and no one wants to carry around a sopping wet towel the rest of the day. I know i dont. (no offense ) Your calling me stupid, yet your the idiot who thinks she knows hwo rides are run when she makes fries all day. No, you dont need to bring in a bunch of crap with you when you come to the park, and no on the rides we dont have to take your crap if it has valuables in it. Trvel light, and save some time or shell out a few bucks for a locker, or heres a shocking thought.........maybe we can get up the energy from our lazy selves and walk to our cars or lockers to get stuff. Wow, the whole thing is not hard at all. oh, and i suppose you're mister know-it-all? if you want to walk around in a wet bathing suit the rest of the day and sit on a damp towel when you go on rides, that's YOUR choice, but i speak for majority when I say it's not worth it. and it sure as heck isn't worth $5 a person to get a locker. besides, once the waterpark closes, you have to get your stuff, so then you're back to the issue of what to do with it? sure you could walk all the way out to your car, after all walking all over PKI isnt exhausting enough. or, better yet, you could shell out another $5 per person on a locker at the front of the park, or try and cram your family's crap into an oversized locker for $10. it's easier just to carry it with you. it's not a big deal to leave it in the station when you go on rides. just take your 'valuables' with you, or leave them in the car. as for the energy to walk to the car, you sit on your freakin butt all day operating rides or checking harnesses. that doesn't require energy. i'm dead freakin serious when i say working in fast food is a hell of a lot harder than any harness checking or button pushing. grow up, and just accept people's crap. After all, YOU'RE not responsible for it. The park is not responsible for it. If they want to leave their crap at the station and take chances, that's their freakin choice, and why should you screw with it?? cuz you're freakin scared that if someone leaves their crap there or loses it/has it stolen they're gonna cuss you out and make a big scene and try and sue you. THREE WORDS IF THAT HAPPENS. NOT OUR PROBLEM DUH!
  19. it was fun, I went all 3 days and yeah, Pillar didn't impress me. love their CD's but didn't like them live. My favs were Newsboys, Audio Adrenaline, Toby Mac, Casting Crowns, and MercyMe. Third Day is good but i'm not a HUGE fan. I like em but i've been to a lot of their concerts and they're pretty much all the same... lol.
  20. thats just bull. They'd be stupid to do that. welcome to CBS Kings Island CRAP-PY! seriously, b/c you know what happens then? THEN they have to do a uniform change. THEN they have to tell cintas ditch the Paramount Parks hats THEN WE, the employees, have to pay money for new uniforms. WE have to ditch the old hat that says Paramount Parks WE have to get new hats WE have to get new name tags WE have to get new ID tags Heck, they'd be straight up insane. this is what would go down: a. they'd have to change all the web sites b. they'd have to change EVERY sign at EVERY park c. they'd have to change the uniform, ID badge, and name tag d. they'd have to change all the tv ads e. they'd have to change the park maps i.e. it would add up to several hundred thousand dollars... scratch that... probably like, a million dollars... they have a lot of employees at a lot of parks.
  21. ok i for one thing it was MEGA crappy this year. I saw it last year and i gotta say this year definitely sucks more than last year. I did NOT see more floats, I saw a lot less floats I did NOT see new characters, I saw fewer ones than last year I did NOT see them dancing like they did last year (they just hopped around but not danced) It did not last as long (last year it would take 30 mins for it to go by, like, if you sat in one spot from start to finish it would take 30 mins to pass you... this year it's like, 15) so yeah. I for one think PKI is false advertising the parade and i REFUSE to wear the freakin nick central parade button on my uniform at work. I don't approve of supporting false advertising. MOD EDIT: Watch the double posts!
  22. yes, they have zippered pouches for you to put your keys, wallet, cell phone, shoes, hat, etc in. large items are to be handed to an associate to pick up after the ride.
  23. crutches??? LOL how do you lose crutches? are you that stupid that you forget to get them when you get off the ride? lol. I lost a pair of shoes last year, but it was funny how it happened. I went on Congo River Falls, and my flip flops were wet, and hard to "jog" in b/c i wanted to get drenched on the bridge. so i took them off and set them on the side. well when the boat came down and the wave came up, it washed my shoes into the water I was LAUGHING so hard. fortunately I had my sneakers too. I just wore the flip flops on the ride for obvious reasons... no one likes the sqik sqik sqik of wet sneakers.
  24. you know i've always kind of thought the same thing. and see, if you built the right, and with enough distance, you could have one loop over the other. now to me, THAT sounds awesome. lol.
