  1. I've seen pictures of one are that was retracked. I don't think they're doing the whole thing. I wish they would do something so they can cut down on the trims. CP could still get a pretty major attraction. Look how little info was know about Skyhawk. It kina came out of nowhere. There's also been markings in the park but we really don't know what they're for. Supposedly they have a long term committment with Intamin and still have one more coaster to but from them. They do have a sordid relationship though after reinforcements needed on Wicked and the heartline had to be removed from Mav. There's a lot of talk on forums about a major attraction in 2010 or 2011. We know Demon drop is up for sale and if they don't find a buyer apparently they're going to move it. Disaster Transport has been on the chopping block for a long time. That would leave a great spot for a large ride right at the front of the park. That's what I know, not that I'm of any authority.
  2. 1. Ur crazy BEAST1979 but I like u. 2. I was just looking at the early construction pics from Apr-Jul and was really cool. I kinda forgot what everything used to look like and how much they have really done for this coaster. Everyone should check them out if they havn't recently. 3. Go away wind so we can see some more vertical construction.
  3. I really think some B&M designs border on art and Diamondback is definitely one of them. Like the one above, so many of the pics just look beautiful. Great colors too!
  4. Clifford has the piece attached. I think they're about to get it off the ground.
  5. Different strokes for different folks I guess. I understand the element of surprise and when I took my friend on Mav he knew nothing about it and that would have been cool... he thought the ride was done when we entered under the station and started asking me what was up with the first hill when we launched. That was a great pic. However, I love watching the webcams and seing how they actually coordinate getting those huge pieces of steel in place. IO get excited watching the progress and looking at old construction pics and remembering when that was all we knew. It's kinda become a hobby. Besides, it gives us something to do on the offseason.
  6. That is a nice video. As a newbie I've gotta give everyone credit who puts media into this site credit. From the arial photography to that video above, I've been impressed.
  7. There's a lot fo activity today... of course it's not as exciting as when the other crew is working on the actual track but it's good for a Fri. The augger was running and there was a cement truck on the former 'beast island' so we should see some new footers. A crew was working on the station too... looked like they were doing srtuctural stuff.
  8. I thought it was 95 degree drop??? http://www.rcdb.com/id3570.htm Your right, I'm just accident prone/forgetful.
  9. I'm going for the back. I love hanging over a big hill but it kinda lost it's effect after TTD and MF. Coming over the hill with some speed is a great feeling, take Maverick's first hill as a perfect example (obviously the 97 angle adds to the effect).
