These pictures gave me chills...especially the first one with the Top Gun billboard. Smh, back in the good ole days. I vaguely remember the park looking like this. It reminds me of my childhood. :'(

Don't let the haters get you down, it was a legitimate post. However, just be aware that the typical ride associate at that level isn't involved in any major capital expenditure decision making or given any real privileged information such as that. Welcome to KIC! I actually figured it wasn't true...I just wanted to know for sure. The guy was not too reputable-a-character. I was wondering why in the Hell they would release that information to the bottom of the corporate chain and not to the adoring public.

On a trip on the 17th, Jasper and I discussed how Flight Deck could use a little TLC. After seeing this pic he pointed them out to me on our closing day trip. They appear to have paint droplets caked on them. I really hope they're giving it an nice ole "Ice-Cream paint job," as the kids say these days.

I was dying laughing at a lot of these posts. I assumed it was not true. I'm no where near as savvy as most of you when it comes to coasters and the workings of them all, but like I told Jasper on the loooooooooooooong ride home yesterday, I find it VERY hard to believe that they could get a new ride on back-to-back years. Where in the hell would that money come from??? I mean, WindSeeker can't be terribly expensive, but still...

I know we have had a few relationships start on KIC, but that is Awesome. Next question is Erin a member here? For the sake of my KIC name and reputation, I hope not. Somebody find Erin!!!!! For Jasper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jasper and I were waiting in line to ride Slingshot yesterday and overheard a patron having a conversation about SOB with a Kings Island employee. The employee stated that SOB was going to be torn down and in it's place, there was going to be an "enormous steel coaster" constructed for the 40th anniversary in 2012. I find that hard to believe with the given financial standing. Has anyone heard anything similar from a source a little more reliable than that guy???

Jasper, it's been a good season man. Many more to come, I'm sure of it. I'm ready for this winter hibernation/hiatus to be over already. Smh.

I was there that day too. We made The Beast our last ride of the night and waited in all the turnstalls and partially out of the station...By the time we got off, the line had backed all the way down The Beast's isolated walkway and wrapped around the game building...

That overlord pic is pretty badass...

Oh and I forgot to mention. I also had my GREATEST Beast experience at night, during the Haunt the week before...Holy S***!!!!!!! I agree, it was AMAZING!!!!!!!

In your picture of your "Here Lies My Beloved Son" outside The Beast, the logo on the casket is the original SOB logo. The carriage is also the one used in the original advertisements for SOB...Thank you Jasper for your plethra of information, and sparaticaly dropping knowledge bombs on me....

NOT GONNA HAPPEN. Though I don't know near as much about the coaster industry as most of y'all, I do know it would be a DUMB business decision to cancel it. Have you seen the crowds for the Haunt?!?!?!?! That's just all money in CF pocket...at least, I pray they don't discontinue it. I got my first dose of the Haunt this year and it blew my mind! It combines three of my favorite things...KI, Halloween, and horror (not to mention beaucoups of Rob Zombie blaring through the park). I don't mean to be rude but if you don't like it, no one's forcing you to stay after 7, and Kings Island does a pretty good job warning about the graphic and provocative images. However, the idiot high school, drunken, stoned, moronic crowd that often comes with it needs to be controlled. We left the park relatively early two weekends ago only to find many circles of kids passing what I assume was not full of tobacco. Hell, they don't even need the fog machines, just scatter the stoners around the park. Lol.

Last year I did not get to go to the Haunt but we went very late in September and some of the decorations were already up. I remember getting an odd feeling coming up the walkway, looking at the back of the gravestones that were where the bush clock normally is. Sure enough, we turn the corner, and the headstone where the "III" on the clock is, says, "Dalton" (my last name). I FULLY regret not taking a picture with it. I don't know if they re-use the props year-to-year, but if anyone happens to know where this one is located this year please point it out for me so I can get a pic!

I accompanied Jasper on this trip and had a hell of a time...and Jasper, I would put Raven over Legend as well...excluding the Behemoth's "HELL YEAH!!!" That may have been a high point of the day. Thanks again Jasper.
