Gordon Bombay
It ran at Kings Island from 1974 until 1993 and now the Lion Country Safari is about to find new life in Fairfield, Ohio at Jungle Jim's International Market! Thanks to Mr. Phil Adams of Jungle Jim's and KICentral member Train Driver, KICentral was able to bring you exclusive backstage photos and updates on the progress of Jungle Jim's monorail which originally ran as the Lion Country Safari at Kings Island. KIBeast
Just curious as to why it has taken 15 years to get it up and going? Not bashing, so please don't take it that way.

RailRider
My wife and I made a whole day of Jungle Jim's and IKEA, man did my feet hurt after that. Felt like I had been at the Magic Kingdom for the day.

Gordon Bombay
Yes it has. During the previous summer they ran it a few times as they put on the final touches. You can read the full article here: http://www.KICentral.com/history/monorail.php Hopefully by the coming spring/summer it will be open to the public.
