pcc Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 I'm so happy. They've grown quite a bit since their last trip. My 9 year old is now 55" tall (maybe she'll want to take her first Diamondback ride!). My 8 year old is 48" tall, and finally gets to ride The Beast. She wanted to ride it and Vortex last year. And my 6 year old is now 44" tall. She can finally get on Avatar. This season is going to be awesome! Quote
The Interpreter Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Awesome! Did they know why you measured them? If so, were they excited? Quote

pcc Posted March 5, 2010 Author Posted March 5, 2010 Awesome! Did they know why you measured them? If so, were they excited? Hahha..The tape measure came out and they all said "IS IT OPEN?!" We've talked about opening day for a few weeks now. They are so very excited to see the changes for Planet Snoopy. My youngest is still sad that Spongebob is gone, but I think she'll warm up to Snoopy in no time. After they were measured, I had to show them the ride list. All 3 went through it and picked out what they can now ride this year. (It'll be nice to turn the youngest loose on some kiddie rides without Mommy and Daddy getting on too hehe) Quote
gigacoaster2k Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 The tape measure came out and they all said "IS IT OPEN?!" That is the cutest thing I've read on here in a long time. I'm excited for you and your kiddos. Quote

Scooby_Doo Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 Very cool! Very happy for you and your kids and your eight year old will love The Beast take her on a night ride. Quote
diamondback_king Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 Great times ahead. Last year was my 7 (then 6) year olds first year to be 48" tall. He rode every single thing possible as often as possible and absolutly loved it! Now this year he is upset because he cannot ride Diamondback yet. But yet he can ride Millineum Force at Cedar Point! Most coasters, including TTD, at CP are 52"or less height requirement. Enjoy!!! Quote
coaster_junky Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 that's great news pcc, hope they love to ride as much as the rest of us. Quote
apianoplaysmusic Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Tell her to get excited! First ride on The Beast is truly amazing. Quote
luff Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 My son's first ride on The Beast was last year. We hit it in the front first thing in the morning followed by a back row ride. It is his favorite ride at the island. Quote
dr_humor Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 As a relatively new parent (our daughter is 2)...thanks for posting this. Very cute indeed. Our little one is now 33 inches, pushing 34...so she's open to a whole new world compared to last year! (we rode the merry-go-round again and again and again...) Quote

alluna Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 WooHoo! I nearly cried when we walked up to the ticket window last year and they told me my youngest was considered an adult ticket (he was 6!). They grow up so fast... I gave him a big hug and told him to get a job already. Quote
Jasper Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 That is great news! Your kiddos finally get to experience the ride factors along with the overall environment of KI. Don't forget to stop by and get them wristbands so no ride ops have to re-measure them. Quote
RD Reynolds Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Checked my four year old...44"! That means he can ride everything in PS. Very happy about that. And yes, he is a giant. lol RD Quote
