From Amusement Today: Kings Island’s Phantom Theater: Opening Nightmare scored with fans and snagged the prize for the first time in the category of BEST NEW FAMILY ATTRACTION. Kings Island Central wants to congratulate Kings Island on its well-deserved latest Golden Ticket Award. Phantom Theater: Opening Nightmare has revived a beloved dark ride, which includes new technology and a storyline that features a fresh way to interact with the characters The original Phantom Theater opened in April 1992 as the third incarnation of Kings Island's dark ride in that building, which included Enchanted Voyage and Smurf’s Enchanted Voyage. I've seen a lot of conversation about altering a chunk of ArieForce 1's layout to accommodate an unload station, but what if the alteration would actually occur with the prelift section? Seems like that could be more cost-effective while preserving the ride's layout, and it could potentially allow them to add a car too. (Not taking into account how grading will impact its location or layout.)

I took the survey. Interestingly enough, the last section, you could just type anything you wanted and asked for you to be very specific. I said that I want Arie Force One installed at KI. How I have been on Steel Vengeance and Wild Cat's Revenge and would like something like that offered at Kings Island

Well said! John Reilly was able to make some good improvements after the legacy CF/SF execs left. I hope whoever has/will take over Tony Clark's position is able to do better than he did these last few years — especially with his apparent bias toward Cedar Point. Even Bob Iger seemed to stop doing good innovations at the end of his tenure as Disney's CEO, which is why we're seeing some nice changes in the parks with Josh D'Amaro in the CEO position. Overall, I really hope we see folks who are comfortable changing the company in positions at all levels.

Congratulations to Kings Island, Sally Dark Rides, and Plague Productions for their parts in bringing this dark ride back to life so wonderfully! It's very well deserving of the Best New Family Attraction award in my eyes, and I hope we can see Kings Island bring some more Golden Tickets home in the near future.
