  1. I haven't had passes in years until this year, and I used to work there. I love going there and bringing my kids, so much fun and nostalgia. I hope this doesn't sound too elitist or rude. Is it just me, or is there a disproportionate amount of really trashy people in the park? I'm talking smoking, vulgarity, severe lack of clothing that just screams "no shame". To each his own and all that, but when I am in a public place with my kids, I don't want them to see / her / inhale that nonsense. It's been a few years since I've gone a lot, so maybe it is just a cultural norm at this point.
  2. It seems like Banshee and Diamondback dispatchers are top notch. I've been there 5 times this year and each time you can tell that they are really trying hard. Other coasters not so much. I try to compliment them on that and they seem to appreciate that people notice it.
  3. Well they also gave us the car from Wayne's World to look at in the Paramount's walk of fame. That was pretty sweet.
  4. Woodstock Express re-named to The Beastie
  5. One thing that bugs me, and I know this is really lame but I had to point this out... The vintage Kenner X-Wing in the "80's" store window display has a Luke X-Wing figure from the 1996+ toy line in the cockpit. You can get a vintage figure for around $3.
  6. You got it, Matt. Crazy that is still on there.
  7. I looked it up and thought, son of a...this is at least 8 years outdated!
  8. Of course The Racer is 45 years old too...doubt they'd ever put that out to pasture though...
  9. Boo Blasters always seems to have a pretty long line, so popularity wise I'm not sure I'd agree with that. But yeah, the theme and ride itself is pretty bad. Vortex for me, while it is rough, the main problem is the harness just kills me shoulders. I don't mind a jerky ride but that harness set up, for me, hasn't aged well at all. I'd be sad to see it go though.
  10. "Don't ever trust the KI ap for ride wait times! Ever!" -Out Limits line employee, very enthusiastically. Maybe that was a rookie mistake on my part, but after a brief shower, the ap said there was no line and there was already a 20 minute line. Not much I know, but still.
  11. 5/26 was AWESOME! We got there at 0900, and was able to get a great parking spot. We were able to ride Diamondback 4 times in lass than 30 minutes...amazing way to start the day. The Beast line was about 10 minutes after that. Outer Limits was the longest at about 20 minutes. We rode all the coasters and many of them several times, with the older ones having no lines at all. I'm really happy we went and will probably think about this day all summer while waiting in the longer lines. Great experience.
  12. Thanks Magenta, was thinking the same thing as far as weather, etc. I worked there in 96 and have such great memories of the park. Taking my kids there now is so fun. We went a few weeks back and it was great. My only complaint is The Vortex didn't really age well for me. I used to love it but man that was a rough ride!
  13. Morning! This is an awesome forum, I look forward to checking more of it out. My family and I got Gold Passes for Christmas and are excited to go to KI a lot this year! Since some schools aren't close yet, is it your experience that it might not be as busy this coming Thursday? Just curious, was thinking that day might be a unique opportunity to see a less busy park day. I know Mason schools are closed, but not Cincinnati public. Anyone got any insight or opinion on this?
