I would still be wary. The GS rep you spoke to could have misunderstood you or the program. Yes you have a season pass but it may not be a Gold pass "yet". Email them all your pass information and ask if you can wait to process and still receive Gold, you want something written.

Looks like I am going to Malem up to CP tommorow after school for last rites and check out HalloWeekends and likely headed back to Columbus at midnight or when the boys have had enough. (Like how I made Malem a verb?). We had our last ride Labor Day so if it is a zoo we won't be to upset if we can't get on. Park opens at 6, do they have ERT on Friday's? Don't see any indication that they don't. Anyone else going besides chugh43? If I have time to gather my camping gear we may crash and hit the park a bit in the morning, but that is not very likely. We are fully capable of camping in the rain but it is not something I really seek out. Drying everything out whe you get home is PIA.

Labor Day I made the mistake of letting my boys ride front row and just hopping on behind them instead of waiting for the next train. Nothing about that experience was enjoyable. A Larson Looper would be an improvement. Not sure exactly what they have planned for Friday, but it deserves a ending like a toppled Mideast dictator.

I have seen a total of one CF on TV and it was for CP. One, that's it, the whole 16 months I have lived in Columbus. I think we have received one or two direct mail pieces and I have seen some posters in the grocery stores for tickets. If it were not for that I wouldn't even know the places existed.

What is the geology of that lake? River or spring fed? Dammed River?

So if I go next year maybe look for a campground not close by?

I am not a developer but if I was I sure would look closely at how much cost would be involved to remove all the existing concrete, footers and foundations. Looks like a mess to me. However maybe there is considerable value in the existing utilities installed.

I thought that's what they should do. I don't see much of an abuse issue because if they have your pass number and you lied and don't have a meal plan they could always suspend your pass. I was told it was park wide so I didn't bother going somewhere else and it could be that stand (pizza, burger, hotdog walking taco etc. by Valravyn) was given incorrect instructions. If in a week or so I don't hear back from Guest Services I will give them a call. One error is nothing to get my panties all in a bunch about. One reason I didn't bother go to GS was I figured they were being mobbed by irate passholders and it would be just easier to deal with it later.

We were up at CP yesterday and tried to get lunch about 12:30 and we were told the computers were down and could not use our dinning plan. They were working on it and to try back later, so we got on a couple of rides and then came back a half our later and still down. We were really hungry at this point so I just paid for it but it still came out to about $30. I kept my receipts. I sent the park a nice email this morning requesting a refund and although GS has in the past been very responsive I am not expecting a quick answer and I am sure they dealing with hundreds or more likely thousands of complaints about it. (I didn't complain, crap happens, but I think it could have been handled better) Anybody experience this before and have a clue what I should expect? SFSTL had these kinds of problems a few years ago several times and they handled it by just writing down your pass number and giving you your food. Though I think it was printed on your pass if you had the dinning plan.

I understand the sentiment but that's not quite right. I actually wish ketchup contained real sugar, Heinz for example chooses the far more nefarious high fructose corn syrup. Next to tomato, most ketchup contains vinegar and while "spicy" may not be the best description it does give it that "tangy" flavor that some may refer to as spice for lack of a better word. Whatever you want to call the flavor it is far to strong for some palates. I am the father of one that can't stand it.

Always a good idea to check the website before you leave for a park. Especially a park like CP. Power outage, water main break, water park closings etc.

I have looked at the cams a couple of times today and operations don't seem to be going very well. Just watched Diamondstacked for 55 seconds. Seen worse though.

Unless they go heavy with the Jolly Ranchers and Reese's Pieces it means I won't have to throw away 75% of the candy due to petro chemical poisoning.
