What is? The lift? Then what about rides like Beast where they don't go out of the station into the lift? Do you mean height is measured from the height of the station to the top of lift or the track from the station to lift is measured?

I assume height is from ground to top of lift hill, drop is from top of lift to bottom of first drop. Example Beast is around 110ft tall and the drop is around 130 because it goes underground

The artist Ed Emshweller made all of his Santas with 4 arms. Not sure why though

It does open up what the theming could be but I think most people, at least the people I know, already thought that it would have a space/solar/ alien theme because it's in Xbase. I just wanted to make sure people knew this image was from a magazine from 60 years ago, not something KI or CF made themselves as a teaser. It could be related though. We should know in just a few months!

I also noticed that the blue book says Xbase now and santas extra two arms are gone. Anyone see anything else changed from the original?

There is a lot you can try to read into in this picture but KI or CF did not create the image so it would have to be a coincidence that the numbers are teasers for an upcoming ride. I think they just used it because it looks cool. Seems like santas arms are the only thing changed from the original. All other words and numbers are the same

That poster was from the cover of Galaxy magazine in 1956. I don't think it has anything to do with the coaster

I feel the same lol I have no idea what is going on. I was there for only an hour yesterday morning and am 100% sure there were to yellow earth movers in the clearing by Beast and a large tree fell as we went past but now people are saying there is no more clearing? Im starting to think maybe what i seen was them cutting down/removing the large trees that couldn't just be bulldozed like some of the smaller ones. Any update on the clearing today? Good to know. I will just enjoy the rides instead of looking for teasers then

I’m going to CP next weekend for two days and was wondering how likely it is to see teasers for the KI new ride there? I can’t remember if they have done teasers at other parks in the past or not.

The more I think about it interacting or coming close to beast, much less over or under it, the more I’m sure that’s not going to happen. They would most likely have to shut Beast down for some period of time like they did WWC when MT was being built and they aren’t going to do that with all the hype and merchandising they have going on about the 40th anniversary. It is possible they could just save that part for off-season work, but I don’t think the coaster will come too close to Beast

They have cleared area there and the gravel on the access road looks new but some of the fallen trees were dead so it could just be regular clearing and maintenance....OR it could have to do with the new coaster. Only time will tell

They have cleared more there too and flatted it some. Not sure if that has to do with the new coaster or not tho

Just rode beast and the clearing goes to the end of the break run but they are clearing more trees as we speak. Seen a big one fall as we rode past

In line for beast now. someone puked and they are trying to clean the trains but the hose had a kink and exploded and soaked us in the front of the ride beast is now a water ride!

I was wondering about this same thing the other day. I bought bikes for my kids a year and a half ago and the more expensive one had faded and looks 15 years old where as the cheaper bike still looks literally brand new and they have been exposed to the same elements. Certain colors seem to fade much faster than others on coasters as well. The purple on Banshee, especially on the drop, hasn't held up as great as the rest of the coaster's paint.

The ride operator on the train last year told us, about a week before MT was announced, that the clearing of trees was for a new wooden roller coaster and it was going to be called…. Son of Beast lol

We tried for an hour to renew ours and couldn't, so we ended up getting all new ones. Our cards were super worn out anyways. The only issue for me was that I had to make the drive to KI go get my card since processing doesnt open until 4 on Friday and I want to be ready. It was SOOOO hard to go there and not be able to go in. I wish I could have just walked around the park. So pumped for friday!
