  1. I wish they they would do something similar like Justice League at some of the Six Flags parks. It’s a lot of fun. Obviously not Justice League themed. Hopefully more intense than Boo Blasters or something Peanuts themed. However, retheme Boo Blasters into Peanuts theme would be kind of cool. Especially if things actually worked in there consistently. Or a smash up Red Baron meets Boocifer. I would love a tilt a whirl over in Coney Mall.
  2. I believe Sam actually said that puberty sucks but there was a girl behind me kind of freaking out a bit. I get flight or fight responses. That just happens. That’s not what I witnessed. Guessing teen boys to early 20’s with buddies thinking it’s funny to smack, touch or shove the actors. Common decency should tell them to keep their hands to themselves. It appeared security took it seriously which made me a little happier, but I still felt bad for the scare actor.
  3. Excellent pictures. The man they were calling the Under Lord is really intimidating. He's insanely tall or seems to be. I had to laugh though Saturday night when he had the no Boo necklace on and scaring people in the fog.
  4. Then I met him. Indirectly, obviously. I am guessing he's not so "Sam" like in person lol he sounded like he was losing his voice. Or puberty was hitting a time or two.
  5. Sam, was he in the Skeleton key room? There were two in there. I actually loved that room. Even though I didn't care for Urgent Scare, the keyroom was fun. I don't know if what I experienced is normal or it was just rude jerks during Haunt. I am guessing not common since we've been there a lot and haven't seen anything like it until last night, but we hadn't been at night to Haunt, just during normal operations. I asked one of the actors if they wanted us to go to guest services to report anything and they said security had been called. Within a matter of a few minutes security was there and was talking to a guest who had smacked someone in the face. It was impressive that security was there quickly and seemed to take it seriously.
  6. We had date night (day) and decided against our better judgement to go to Kings Island for Haunt. We knew it would be busy. I am not necessarily a horror, Haunt kind of fan, but he is. We were there open to close AND we didn't have to hang out in Planet Snoopy. The park was packed. Ride lines long. Food lines longer. We expected this so no big deal. We opted to buy the Fright Lane pass because it was so busy which actually salvaged the day. I think next year we will do the pass again. We actually had a great time. Slaughterhouse was hands down our favorite. Backwoods Bayou was our least favorite. I wish Field of Screams had a few more scare actors because the lay out was actually fun. The scarecrow actually scared my husband, which actually is impressive because he doesn't scare easily. Props to the make up artist and costuming. I guess some create their own costumes, they were actually decent. Make up though was spot on. Criticism though to the slow lines especially in food and even just getting drinks. It was faster for us to get beer than it was for food. (Yay beer lines!) I am sure they have to be understaffed, but no one seemed to be in a hurry. I have to say the biggest disappointment was guests. While I know the park can really do so much and I actually watched them try to control things, but the level of disrespect towards the scare actors, especially those who roam is insane. Smacking them, pushing them, yelling st them, it's inexcusable. There was one that was smacked in the face. Why? Security was called, they took it seriously or seemed to. The one who was slapped didn't even try to scare this person. They went up and just did it. Another person smacked one girl clown on her backside. Blatant disrespect of others makes me upset.
  7. As far as Tom + Chee outside Kings Island, is the quality of food better? I found out a few weeks ago Larosa's outside the park tastes nothing like it does at Kings Island. Inside the park Tom + Chee it's mediocre at best. We bought grilled cheese off of a food truck one night and it was far more impressive than Tom + Chee. Maybe they can open up the space that Tom + Chee has to vacate. [emoji7] the food trucks are surprisingly a great addition. (Unless it's a park owned food truck?) If Kings Island had an agreement with Skyline, wouldn't they likely have one with Tom + Chee? Looks like they would have to honor a standing contract at least to a point. I suppose if the actual owner changed then it could void the contract. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I am new here, but I love amusement parks. 1. Knoebels is probably my favorite park. Sentimental reasons probably overshadow other parks. My husband proposed to me at Knoebels on the carousel, first kiss there too. (I love carousels). There's just something awesome about that park, to me it's magical. It's beautiful. Excellent ride selection, too. Hershey is a close second. 2. Best wooden is Phoenix. Steel, possibly Fury 325, but I love Banshee, New Texas Giant (steel?!) and Maverick. 3. Nope. I wish I could have. My mom makes it sound like it was fun. 4. Rode with and without the loop. It beat the tar out of you. Worse than Mean Streak by far. Was not a fan of it at all. 5. Mean Streak, Texas Giant before RMC got hold of it, SOB or Voyage at Holiday World (in all honesty I am not a fan of any wooden coaster at Holiday World-I am positive this will not be a popular response. My husband absolutely loves them and that park so we go a few times a year.) Steel- Vortex, Invertigo or Skyrush. 6. Most of the ones mentioned in 5 would be the same. The ones at Holiday World would be my 3 least favorite. 7. At 5 ft tall with shoes on, any coaster with restraints like Vortex are awful. I can't push myself up high enough to keep my head from banging. Taking my kids on the Great Pumpkin or whatever it's called at Kings Island makes me not so thrilled they are tall enough to ride it because it's painful.
  9. I was at Cedar Point when they were testing VR on Iron Dragon and it enhanced the experience. However, the line moved minimally and can't imagine how long the lines would be with VR at Kings Island and having to stand in line with people complaining about it, no thank you. Plus the whole time I kept thinking they probably didn't wipe down the VR equipment well between uses. While I really thought it was an awesome experience, the lines would be way too long.
