  1. Today, Hersheypark announced their new for 2020 attraction, Chocolatetown! This new experience will feature shops, merchandise, restaurants, and of course, a B&M hyper. The site came with a timeline of Chocolatetown milestone dates, which will be posted below. What are your thoughts?

What kind of inversion would everyone like to see of it were to happen? My personal favorites are corkscrews and inline twists

That's a Silver Dollar City/Taylor Bybee reference in case anyone doesn't get it.

  3. I heard that Hersheypark is going to make their biggest announcement ever on October 3, and apparently it is going to be a new entrance and 220 foot tall hypercoaster in 2020. What are your thoughts?

After watching the video they posted on September 12, I noticed a yellow light flashing while each picture was shown, and it looked sort of like B&M track. Hmmmmmmmm...

Here's the video for those who can't find it.

  4. Unpopular opinion time. Brace yourselves:

I actually think Kings Island should replace Firehawk with a Vekoma Bermuda Blitz. From what I have heard about them, they are smoother than old Vekoma, and they are extremely popular in Europe. From what I've heard about the only one in operation (Lech Coaster in Poland,) it has the potential to be a number 1 coaster, plus if we add one to Kings Island, it could fill the vertical drop coaster gap in the park's lineup, and draw in big crowds because the GP could possibly have never seen anything like it in the States. Not to mention we would have beaten Cedar Point to a coaster that is unique to the States (finally!) and it could put KI on the map.

Their article says  "A majority of coaster enthusiasts on forums like KI Central believe Vortex will have its last rides this fall. Why?".

Pretty sure last time I checked the poll it was roughly 70 percent for Firehawk. Gotta love the GP media.

That's why I'm not trusting of the news. They almost always get facts about amusement parks wrong! Moving away from how GP they are, I actually wouldn't be surprised if they removed Vortex. It's not that new or smooth anymore, and although I would hate to see a landmark go, the world is always moving towards bigger and better things. So Vortex's removal couldn't be too far out of the question, but I'm still leaning towards AE or Firehawk leaving.

i second what Sonofbaconator said.... Adventure Express just needs a refurb. Maybe as someone suggested... RMC it.

There's just one tiny problem with that... AE is a steel coaster. Maybe they could give it some maintenance, make the track a little smoother, and slap on a fresh coat of paint. Plus I doubt that they would do anything too drastic to it, seeing as it's a classic Arrow Dynamics coaster.
