See my earlier post. I misread the scale and goofed up because I was trying to decode it in my car now that I’m home with a ruler etc I see how wrong I was. you are correct here. It’s unfortunate but I don’t think there’s any way at all that this is a giga.
-
Yes. What I am saying is that the horizontal length of the lift hill along the ground is 200ish feet, which won’t get you to a respectable giga height unless it’s at an absurd angle
-
Yes that’s what I see as well. I just misread it in my excitement lol That means the lift run is somewhere around 200 feet long, which is INCREDIBLY puzzling given that the supports do look much like that of Fury.
-
I misread the scale. The lift run is actually 217ish feet long. I no longer think this is a Giga. I think it’s just a tall wing coaster unfortunately
-
Me too please!
-
Here’s your lift hill footers. This is a a giga. No doubt in my mind. lift hill run appears to be roughly 450-500 feet long ish. Hard to say without a ruler. I did some basic math based on Fury’s lift hill angle and it looks like based on that we could be looking at 350-380 feet high. We’re getting a record breaker boys.

Lol you beat me to it. They’re fetching blueprints for me as I type this

En route. Will post updates if I find anything

What’s the difference between this and the Warren County building and zoning department we were linked to yesterday?
-
So, theoretically, if I had time today to go in person to ask for filed permits, what would I ask for? Where would I go?
-
Which Giga name will be coming to Kings Island
RuthlessAirtime replied to Cedar Fair Fanboy's topic in KI Polls
As long as I go so fast my shoes come off, I don't care what it's called. Although, I think Apophis would be a really cool name if it kisses 400 feet. -
Hence the wild guess Still stands that there are no permits for recent large projects
-
Wild guess here, but it seems like all the building permits have to do with items being built along Kings Island drive. Like places that have to build on land that is bought etc. As is, Cedar Fair owns all of King's Island's land. So for all intents and purposes, they're building on private land. I would guess that they don't need to file for a permit for this reason, and the only evidence we will have of things happening is when footers go in. Specs will not be known via any permit or otherwise, at least until the official announcement.

To put this warren county building permit thing to rest for good, I was able to replicate the same results. Here's my giga spoof. https://bit.ly/2DTugHA It's fake. For sure.

People do stuff like this on the Internet all the time. It’s nothing new ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

There are some ways to alter the code in a webpage via the “inspect element” tab with some trickery. I’ve never done it but I’ve had many computer engineering/IT major friends do it in college to make our university’s webpage say outlandish things. The page technically only exists because the URL says what it needs to in order to change the text onscreen. The page itself is not indexable or searchable. It’s similar to having an “unlisted” video on YouTube that you can only find if you have a direct link.
-
Lmao his name is literally troll got me good, I am a fool
-
It’s fake, I searched for the permit on the website myself
-
Holy ****. IT’S HAPPENING! 355 feet!!! EDIT: I just searched for this permit on the website. It does not exist. This is fake.

Orion is a hunter... if there are deer back there it makes sense he’d be lurking back there as well... ORION CONFIRMED

It depends on what it is to be honest. If it’s something I put a lot of effort into with lighting and models, I’m probably being paid for it and you shouldn’t redistribute it without the payment that goes with it. If it’s a photo I took of a cityscape/landscape/whatever and I post it to instagram/the internet for free, I am accepting that it might get redistributed uncredited. As long as people aren’t claiming as their OWN photo, I don’t care where it ends up. If it’s a cell phone pic, claim it’s your own all you want and I will probably care less lol
-
Lol As a photographer, you guys are kinda weird about credit on this site It’s news so they can use it however they want. They’re not going to pay for a hastily made MS paint doodle of some imaginary coaster lol.

Honestly I have always thought that if it was just called “Fury” it would sound better.
-
Many of my friends had no idea I made that. Was hilarious to show them screenshots I took along the way and be like "See? Not real."

I’d love to see a drop that big but part of me is pretty sure they’re gonna just barely break a record if they do. like 350 - 370 range max. Something tells me they’re not aiming to break the drop record by like 70+ feet. I’d love to be wrong though.
