Off topic, I know, but is it just me, or is the building (restrooms, I believe) that was next to WindSeeker gone?? When did that happen?? Edit: Maybe it's still there and I'm just not seeing it correctly??
-
There are two supports still not up. There is the single support going in to the break run, but there is also the support that is assembled, but still laying on the ground, under the first drop.
-
We have the next section of track in the air (barely).....

Looks like they are going to have to jockey some cranes around again. I don't think they can do anymore of the helix with BY in there......
-
Helix is totally gone and you can see the big CAT in there moving around now.....

I'm pretty sure it's still there, it just doesn't have any surfaces that are at an angle to reflect the sunlight right now..... You might say it's in stealth mode....

Kings Island Opening Day April 11th, 2020

I'm going to go with about a 1/4 of the history of any other date..... -
You are correct. They are very good at what they do. Cleo is in the process of moving over toward the helix.
-
-
True enough!! They should be able to make some serious progress laying track today!!
-
-
Just imagine how surprised we will all be when the fog lifts...... and the helix is done!!!
-
Cleo is on the move. I would anticipate her leapfrogging T-Bone for the next support.

I was just noticing that myself! I stand (or sit at my desk) corrected, the batwing is still there. Stupid blurry/foggy cam......
-
T-Bone is on the move..... Headed up toward the brake run.
-
Another reason to do the wave hill first is that if (God forbid) something were to go wrong and get dropped after the speed hill was in, now there are two pieces of track that are trashed....
-
Not trying to incite a panic or anything, but I am starting to think they have removed the batwing. The picture isn't the greatest, but my work monitor gets the Kings Island logo out of the corner, so it's the best we're going to get..... Thoughts???

My speculative reasoning for the split lap bars is so that two people with wildly different body sizes (adult and child, for example) can both be independently secured as well as possible.

My speculation (and it's just that, speculation) would be that it is due to the terrain. If I am not mistaken, Fury is on a much more level surface, which would allow the crawlers to move from spot to spot easily. Not so with Orion. Therefore, they needed to use a more mobile crane to get from place to place easily. Again, just a speculation.....

Next piece of track has been placed!
